Nexus 4 ordering process

Sorry Joe, Got brother in UK to buy it and send it over to me. Tried the Tunnel bear method with a Virginal Visa Debit and Pmotel postcode but tyhey locked the account and I didn't bother sending the details to try unlock it. I have to say, after playing with it today I love it. The way it runs, it feels so tidy and slim too.... Once they come available again in the next few weeks I'll be getting another for her good self.. . she also uses this username/account so she has been busy watching the threads too on it and now really wants it since I got mine.

i have been waiting so long to try get one of these, that it wont be long now until a new one is announced in may! are they puposefully trying to keep these out of circulation so they dont annoy the manufacturers or networks?

If it helps there won't be a new Nexus phone in May, the rumored X phone may be announced about then but that probably won't be a Nexus. There will more than likely be a new Nexus 7, but as for phone it'll be November ish time again.

Went onto play store to try order, just says out of stock, can't seem to put it on back order either ? What am I doing wrong ?

Have set up tunnell bear to uk and parcel motel account.

Eh I don't think it went on sale in the UK store at all yesterday. There are reports of it back on sale in Germany and the US/Canada but nothing else and from reading other forums there is no mention of it going on sale in the UK?

I suggest if anyone is interested, they start checking the site periodically from 2pm as the last time they had stock, it was available for sale before 3pm. Have decided to splash the cash on this myself.

In advance of the stock becoming available I've tried to have the account ready.

Parcel Motel address has been setup, however I've added 3 separate visa debit options, AIB, Ulster bank and PTSB.

When trying to fake order an N7, it's coming up as "Unsupported payment method" for all 3 cards, it takes the Parcel motel address fine.

What can I do?

Did you make sure to change the country to UK?
Are you positive you entered in the details correctly?
Do you have any other cards you can use?
Do you have a different Gmail address you could try?

If you havent already done this you may need to set up a new gmail account. As far as I remember I tried just changing deleting and re-adding my card to my normal gmail account but with a delivery address of PM NI and it wouldn't let me order like you. I suspect it was because I previously purchased stuff from the play store using that account and it was flagged as being non UK?

I just tried from a different gmail account that did not have google wallet setup. Country was UK (through tunnelbear). Added my AIB Visa Debit (Irish Address). Parcel motel as delivery address. Tried to order an N7 and it said "Unsupported Payment Method". Balls.

Did you change the country to UK when setting up the shipping address?

Any other cards you could use? My Visa Debit works fine o_o

Set up a brand new account there, ensured it's set to UK.

Tried AIB visa with Irish address, tried my brothers BOI mastercard with Irish address.

I can select the Parcel motel address no problems, it's the payment methods are greyed out saying unsupported.

Grrrr!

Might be an idea to ring them and ask why you can't order an N7, while keeping up the whole act that your from Northern Ireland etc. Best to do it now because it'll probably be impossible to get through once the N4 has gone on sale. I've heard their phone support can be pretty crap though, basically if it doesnt work on the website they just apologise and say tough luck.

Just my 2cents...

When I ordered my N4, which I got earlier this month, I set up all my addresses to be the PM address in Google Wallet. I also, using the AIB website, changed the address on my Credit Card to be the PM address, but had already rang the AIB Credit Card section to ask them to put the PM address down in the card notes as one that would be accepted should a vendor ring them to ask...

Made sure that I had my home address on the card though when it was around the billing period for the card

I believe that some (not all) of the people that set up separate GMail accounts and then added a card ran into problems because that looks like a possibly fraudulent account being setup.

AFAIK there can also be problems using what would be considered 'temporary' cards (e.g. an O2 Money card) to purchase devices - at least I read that in one of the forums at some point...

This worked for me back in December.

Existing Google mail and Wallet a\c with purchase history from Play store
Added new Debit Card to Wallet a\c.
Billing address as normal BUT WITH UK PARCEL MOTEL POST CODE.
Shipping address full UK PARCEL MOTEL.

My theory was that they will not accept an order with a NON UK billing address. Just adding a valid UK POST CODE on the end of my Dublin address did the trick for me.

Hope you guys can get an order sorted, as the phone is well worth the hassle.

AIB visa card wouldnt work for me in the past - even when I contacted Visa and had them change my billing address to my parcel motel NI address.
AIB visa debit card worked with the parcel motel NI address.

People seem to be using 2 different methods here, but getting positive results.

1. Billing and Shipping address as PM NI, then place your oder.
2. Billing address as home, but with NI postcode and Shipping address as PM NI, then place your order.

I tried method one back on Dec 4th and it didn't work, so today I'll try method 2.

PS: In the google wallet cards screen, I can only change my billing address. Where do I go to add my shipping address? Or is this only accessible once you make a purchase?

I put my address (as in, my parcel motel address) in using the settings cog button on the top right- I'm hoping this is the shipping address.

I set the billing address to be the parcel motel address on my credit card in google wallet and it allows me to now use that as payment. It will probably be cancelled afterwards though.

I logged into my AIB as another poster said and have now set the Antrim Parcel motel address as my credit card address so if they need verification hopefully that's it.

We'll see what happens. Probably won't even come back in stock today!

At least the US ones still have not sold out which I'm also hoping is a good sign.

Where are you putting the UK post code? There is no field for it in the billing address in Wallet.

You're right, that's where to change/add a shipping address. I didn't notice it, as I was browsing on my phone and was zoomed in.
