SSN Everton spend 10M...yes 10M euro on a Holland central midfielder Leroy Fer.
Sky sources reckon it won't trigger Fellaini's departure

Leroy Fer - "The Iron King". Now there's a kick-ass name.

Chelsea looking at butland on ssn. Probably means courtouis wont be coming back to them? Cech still has a few years in him in fairness

dont think anyone will disagree but for Butland another year on loan at Atletico would be far more advantageous than a year on the bunch / CC appearances behind Cech imo meanwhile someone like Butland could be a good backup incase of injury for Chelsea to have on the books.

dont think it will happen myself as he would still technically be their 3rd choice and I've a feeling his fee will be well above his actual value given his nationality, youth and the media profile he's built up, especially when you consider that Chelsea would be viewing him as a 2nd/3rd choice GK.

    QPR interested in Chris Samba

My take on the Butland deal is where going after him as Atletico want Courtois as part of any potential Falcao deal.

    TBH I'd rather keep Courtois.

Sky Italia reporting the Balotelli deal to AC Milan is done, figure seems to be €21m.

Huge waste of money imo - City have done incredibly well out of that deal. He may give the odd blistering patch of form but that really doesn't make up for all the crap that comes along with that particular package.

No word of KPB coming the other way unfortunately, I would've liked him.

So who does 21 Mill buy you these days?

Still sceptical on how truthful it is. If for just the simple fact of where Milan, or Juve are pulling the €20m from? Milan had made an offer to pay in 6 months installments, but that is only going to cause City trouble in the FFFP when trying to reinvest.

Chairman and owner Silvio Berlusconi further put paid to any hopes of a dramatic U-Turn by later claiming: "Neither Balotelli nor Kaka will arrive at Milan. These are impossible deals in times like this."

A Berlusconi quote is about as reliable as his testimony.

SSN have just this minute said that Mario's signing a 4 and a half year deal with AC Milan, pending a medical tomorrow.

€21million 5 years and €4million a season + bonuses for Mario, which is a pretty big paycut.

SES Balotelli and Niang, that's a pretty scary front 3 for Milan if it works out :D

Because he was a total failure at City...

Happy he's leaving City. There was always a possibility he could turn into a world beater there somewhere down the line such is his talent.

Milan have got him at a great price.

No he did to the EPL what you predicted alright. He will be remembered for his off field antics more than what he did on the pitch. Says it all tbh

Don't think that will ever happen. No doubt he has the talent but he doesn't have the right mental attitude to ever do more than the occasional flash of brilliance.

    Time will tell I suppose.

He's still only 22, plenty of time for the penny to drop.

Calling him a failure is a joke. 30 goals in 75 games for City, that's better than 1 in 3. Not many 22 year old footballers with those stats nor his collection of winners medals.

I wouldn't mind a few more "failures" with his credentials.

Balotelli is a strange one, supremely talented as his stats show. He can win you a game but he can lose you a game also. He is not a player you can depend on in tough situations and I just don't think he has the mentality to be a top top player.

    Time will tell I suppose.

He ended up as the 4th choice striker so he failed. It's more about his mentality then his ability as to why he failed imo. He missed 11 games through suspension last season.

Good striker, just not a great one.

Liable to do ridiculous stuff. Entertaining though!

He's been way off the boil this season though.

Even after the last 7days newcastle had in the market, we still need a striker.

We were light up front before Ba left, and only gouffran has been brought in so we're still light...

Balotelli is not supremely talented, but 35 goals in that many games at that age is good going.

I think Balotelli should just become a poacher, because he doesn't have good technique and he's kinda dumb on the ball but he's a clinical kinda guy.
