Well its one of the main global models. M.T. uses it a fair bit I think. At this stage the models in general have been all over the place so it has as good a chance as any.

He's just being patriotic though :P

This is a pretty poor run so far out to 72 hours. Everything further east. We"ll see where it ends up.

Poor GFS 6z but i have noticed the 6z GFS has been very poor with it's accuracy of late.

Well its changed so much from 6 hours ago. Which could be worrying, or could give you hope that it can easily change again in 6 hours time.

The US balloon data only goes into the 0Z and 12Z runs.

I never said anything like this. Imo winter without at least a bit of snow is not a winter.

I would say Tuesday no but going by charts and mets forecast I would say hi chance for wed. The met haven't really stuck their heads out so far on the line over the past week or so, I would be surprised if they were wrong

Well, that 06Z GFS will add a nice bit of tension to the 12Z runs today....ffs.

Yeah, it is a big change on the earlier runs, things look to have everything moving westwards eventually.

Well the precip is approaching but i just think it a little too mild in the CC. But worth a look.

Milder air already into Donegal behind this band.
