    Yay boring things!

I have one of my old psychology books here, maybe I'll read that

It's less, "I can't sleep" for me, and more, I slept 24 hours again and got up at midnight. I suppose that means I'll be capable of doing things tomorrow. Definitely buying jewelry, probably arranging a phone interview for a jerb.

Drunkfaced right now and watching Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas on DareTv. Good stuff. I also bit the inside of my cheek whilst eating peanuts. I have an owie. :(
Going to Wildcat Ink for a consultation on Thursday. Here's hoping I can find a decent tattoo artist before my birthday rolls in...

I'm now waiting until 6.30 which is the earliest approved shower time in the house. Killing time, fun fun fun.

Stayed over in le boys house last night, woke up at 5 when he got up for work, double checked email about interview (part two of two) - insists on business suit for the interview and a number of other things. Think I am far too spoilt where I am, where wages are way better (realised 4k in the difference last night) and I can wear normal clothes. Its also starting to sound like the most boring job on earth. I know theres not much out there but i do have two other interviews lined up and this one is looking like the most hassle. Gah. Have to now go home instead of back to sleep to see do I still fit into the business suit dress that I bought for my Ernst and Young interview last year.

If you don't want the job tell them you have accepted another offer?

So sitting in the boardroom for 30mins, not a single person there, me thinking everyone was just running late (a real possibility here). Eventually I ring my Dean and they had rescheduled the meeting but forgot to tell me! Doh

My back is starting to do funny seizing up thingies. Need to remember to sit straight. I'm very much looking forward to my breakfast at the moment. Give it to me.

@bluey, did you manage to get to work or did you nod off?
@Daisies, that happens to me too sometimes. And then there are the meetings people forget to invite me to then ring me to give out to me for not attending.

Freewheel from Christchurch down to the Olympia on my bike, on a sub-zero morning. That'll cure what ails ya :)

I love frosty mornings. Despite the idiots who think that because their windscreen was frozen, they have to drive everywhere at 15kph...

Just woke up. Love my days off. Have to pick up a package and have my lady garden waxed. Very exciting day! :)

Warnings on the road watch thingy on the radio this morning to be careful as there was black ice in places. No harm in being cautious.

Good luck with that Shalalala :D

Just been out for a walk. Feel great now. It's very cold though and the paths were a little bit dodgy in places so had to watch my step a little. It's lovely and sunny though. :)

Going to get changed now, put on my face and maybe read for a bit. Going to my Gran's later so might go for another walk when I get back. Might be going to the Laois match in Portlaoise tonight too and I've decided to get back into knitting. I sort of lost interest for a bit.

Feeling great today I have to say. :)

    How's everyone? :)

There's a big difference between being cautious and being an idiot. A brake test while the road is clear will give a very good idea of how bad or not the surface actually is.

Took me longer to get to work this morning because there was a touch of frost and it was foggy so therefore that means you must travel at 65kmph  There was some tool ahead of me taking the slip road off the toll road and they wouldn't go up the hill because they quite obviously couldn't do a hillstart - YOU SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD THEN!!

Not to mention that those driving that slowly are normally in stupid second gear. Steady, non-jerky driving at a reasonable pace, giving adequate stopping distance between you and the car ahead is the only way to drive in slippy conditions. Actually it's the best way to drive at all times.

Indeed. Also, specifically for (hard) frost and snow:

    1. Drive in the highest gear possible
    2. Your car can only do one thing at a time in these conditions - if you're steering (as in, around a bend), you shouldn't be braking or accelerating. If you're braking, you shouldn't be steering. If you're accelerating, you shouldn't be steering.
    3. Use engine braking rather than hydraulic braking - i.e. don't use the footbrake, allow the car to slow down naturally and move down through the gears.
