Very well, you know your salt/fresh water stuff but answer me this kid. What if they did battle in outer space. Obviously they'd have nice space helmets to wear and the location is such so the median temperature is 20 degrees celsius. Difficult to achieve in space but it could be in the shade of a crater that accommodates zero gravity...

You see therein lies your problem, with a median temperature of 20 degrees, and due to a giant squid being 110 % water it would dry out before it had a chance to last its first blow.

However if we bring the temperature down to an acceptable 12 degrees celsius i have a feeling we have a fight on our hands

Somebody should make a show out of this. Epic Animal Battles is a good title.

Hmmm, 12 degrees would be ok I suppose as long as it's broadcast on tele. It'd be a bit too chilly for me to attend.

Grizzly bears were put against bulls and lions in fights in the late 19th century in California. The bears just murdered everything with swipes of their paws. If your face didn't get torn off then you skull got crushed. If ever in doubt, bet on the grizzly.

The lion is smaller than many of the tiger species, the tiger is the superior cat.

Put a Siberian in a cage with a grizzly and there's only one winner, a bear's only natural predator in Siberia other than man is the tiger.

I remember reading up on this before, and tigers used to get beat by lions in cage fights. This is due to the fact that tigers like to ambush their prey, rather than fight on open ground. Also, bears always win, they have the long reach and can crush skulls with one swipe. Also the cats attack by leading with their heads, so are gonna get hammered with one shot. I wonder who gorillas would take?

Brown bears are preyed on by Siberian tigers, not grizzlies, they don't even compare. Not only is a grizzly heavier, they've much heavier skulls and shoulders.

A caged cat that's agitated is a dangerous creature though. The tiger is intelligent as well as being versed in combat, they're not that far off in weight either, the largest Siberians recorded exceeded 64 stone, (50 stone is the average weight of a male)

All it takes is one swift put down and a bite to the back of the neck and Mr Grizzly is going home in a box.

Jaguar vs Wolf is a battle I'd like to see. I'd love to hear Wibbs' aka "The Wolfman" take on it.

Jaguar all the way. They are bad to the bone. Plus they're solitary killers, unlike wolves who hunt in packs and generally chase their prey to wear them down before taking them out.
