    tommy tiernan is not one bit funny, tommy tiernan is another i think has no talent at all and tommy tiernan has to be the worst comedian Ireland has ever produced

    American tv in general tends to run their series into the ground, everything from The Simpsons to Friends to Scrubs all declined massively in quality as they went on. look at How I Met Your Mother, its been renewed for a NINTH season, how fcuking long is this story? the kids who played his kids in season 1 are probably in their 20's now.

    Thought the thread was about individuals rather than shows but just since we talking about US comedies cast of cheers=not funny.
    Good musicians though.

    Can't beat 'Everybody Loves Raymond' - the writing is more clever than you think for the average US 'Hi honey, I'm home' sitcom.

    Back on topic, there is a British 'comedienne' called Katy Brand who seems to be following Dawn French's lead of 'funny beacuse I'm wearing clothes a woman my size shouldn't be wearing'. Every panel show I've seen/heard her on, she doesn't actually make jokes but 'rides on the back' on the joke that has just been said and either/or laugh loudly.

    I saw her being interviewed a while back. She has her own talk show apparently, and she gets her Dad on it to give advice or something? What kind of cack is all that.

    I've seen a good few youtube links to him on AH but for my money he's not just unfunny, also very irritating, it's Tim Michin. puke.
