Here are my ones, have never found Vince Vaughan funny at all and could only watch Russell Brand on comedy central for 5 minutes, before switching off. Really, really awful.

Michael McIntyre, sweet Jesus, a hundred times Michael McIntyre. A posh toff flouncing about the stage with his sub-90's Seinfeld observational ****e does not a good comedian make.

These threads always reek of "Myeh, I could soooo be a comedian if I wanted! I made all my mates laugh this one time!" Give it another 10 posts and you'll see...

Lee Evans. He's uncomfortable to watch but there's always the chance he might slip on a puddle of his own sweat.

Always thought he was funny on TV and went to see him in the Olympia - he was awful. Just stood there reeling out one liner after one liner with no sense of delivery or pacing at all.

Most Irish and UK comedians are painfully unfunny.

Exactly the same for me, seen him in the olympia a few years back and it's not something I'd ever bother with again.

had the opposit view about Tommy Tiernan. Never really noticed him but got a present of tickets about 4/5 years go (maybe more). Went and had a cracking night. Thought he was hilarious.

Someone thought I'd like the DVD of that show for xmas. When I watched it I couldn't believe how unfunny he was. I could remember some of the lines but theywere just awful

So he may be a brilliant hypnotist, or I may have had my drink spiked. I'm not ruling out anything (except future visits to Tommy Tiernan)

Dara O'Briain, while he can be funny at times I find that is outweighed by how annoying he is. I especially can't stand the thing he does where he makes a comment then pauses waiting for a laugh and proceeds to laugh at his own joke.

Absolute bull. There are some amazing comedians from Ireland and the UK. I prefer them to American ones any day.

Phill Jupitus, somebody should tell him his material is far from funny and shouting certainly doesn't make it any better.

    Russell Howard.. Not funny
Michael McIntyre... Words evade me to describe my dislike
    Josh Widdecome (?)
    Jason Byrne
Catherine Lynch Actually all female Irish 'comedians'
Speaking as a wOman, I find most female comedians woeful try-hards. Apart from Sarah Millican, who is funny in small doses, the rest of the are just doses....

This guy is brilliant live, he was heckled a lot and always gave hilarious responses.

I love him. Think I better leave this thread before I start going off on one.

Female comedians are useless, they annoy the hell out of me and never make me laugh

Dylan Moran? I like him. Mainly because of Black Books though.

It's strange how immediately the tides of popularity turn on people in the public eye now. I've definitely gotten a little wiser in the last few years but people's opinions and careers are moving quicker as well, their arses are barely touching the pedestal before they're getting hooshed off of it.

After looking at some of the responses in this thread, it was nice to become an adult and stop getting my balls in a knot over whether I enjoyed a comedian. You can really save a lot of time just ignoring the ones you don't find funny. It's very much preferable to being an absolute pillock who needs to validate his opinion by bagging someone who's just trying their best to make people laugh.

Of course, not everyone gets their fair chance in the business, some spots are taken up by nepotists and key demographic representatives selected by a television's marketing team; they're easy to spot though and ignoring them is as good as them never existing in the first place!:pac:

I think he's one of those lads who's funny in a group. Fairly quick, pretty likeable IMO. Good to have around a table in the pub.

But thats a world away from being good enough to have people pay to see you perform.
