    Bitch bitch bitch!

OR just maybe you could admit that Wenger's tactical gamble actually worked and that your City v United analogy was cpmpletely off the mark.
Everybody gets stuff wrong the odd time. It happens. No need to back yourself into a corner. After all, I said Gervinho would have a great season this season...

I never said it didn't pay off,my whole point is the mentality of defending slim leads against relegation teams, something that has crept into our game in the last few years. Its a bottle mentality that is evident through the whole team and has been for quite a while.

Should be bringing on players to finish these teams off,not try hold onto a slender 1 goal lead, which has cost us so many times in the past.

Coq was quality when he was brought on today maybe it's time to trust him and give arteta a rest every now and again

Can't believe this is still going on almost 12 hours later. People disagree with you jack, grow the the hell up and get over it man.

I get what your saying though, the team has a habit of not being able to put a game to bed which has been a problem for a few seasons. A lot of the time they don't get away with it either and we end up drawing a game we should have pushed on and won.

Today though I think Wenger did the right thing, we never looked like scoring really and neither did Wigan, the substitutions were late in the match and they worked imo. We were lucky to be ahead at all tbh. The team have lost their bottle on many occasions over the last few seasons and thrown points away as you said but today wasn't one of those days thankfully.

That's fine but I have took abuse over this, why can't people just leave it be,I have my opinion they have theirs, simples!!!

    And that's that.

Not a dive, Martinez said he went down easy, but it was a foul. If we had conceded the same peno I would have no complaints

That's what I thought when seen it,just didn't want to hear there was another arsenal diving fiasco on motd.

Not a penalty for me, he went down very easily. Highlights here.

I didnt see the highlights either but I have to agree it was a dive for me too. Reminded me of when the west brom player went down in the build up to the second penalty in that match. There was definite contact but not enough to knock a grown man over. Was harsh on Wigan but I'm not complaining.

It was a perfectly executed dive. No point saying otherwise. Grown men should not go down that easy but they do because a penalty is almost certain when executed properly, just as Walcott has done today.

penalty for me when arsenal have conceded far less contact ie the amount of times rooney fell over to win a pen for united against us.

what goes around comes around and its about time we had some luck with decisions.

Anyways back on topic, Some of the Arsenal players visited The hospital where my bro was born, where my dad currently works and where my mum use to work(passed away a few years back).

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/whittington-hospital-visit-gallery

i use to work there too during my university degree and the staff there were really nice! My dad says some of the guys i use to work there all keep asking how im doing :)

When i worked there, Fabregas, Song, Almunia and i think Senderos came at this time of the year and i saw and met them all :)

Fabregas looked like a kid, same height has me(5:7) and it was a joy meeting them all

Can't believe anyone would think that's not a penalty, if that wasn't given we'd be furious! Maybe Walcott could have stayed on his feet but the defender made a very silly challenge from behind and made contact with Walcott. Crazy defending in the penalty area.

Still don't think theo is a striker for me, maybe playing beside giroud but not up there on his own

I agree its high time we had a bit of luck with that stuff but weren't you fairly adamant about how terrible Cazorla's dive was a couple of weeks ago? I know it wasn't as blatant as that and the defender shouldn't have made any contact in that area but Walcott was still looking to go over, which makes it a dive imo. I don't see how its any more of a foul than when Popov dived in the build up to our second penalty, I don't seem to remember many posters saying west brom should have had a free there.

I'm not trying to start a witch hunt here just to be clear, I think Walcott did what any player would do in that situation and I'm delighted we won the game because of it.

That sounds great about meeting the team that time btw, do they visit the place every year?

Yes i was upset with Carzola has that was a blatent dive.

There was contact on walcott for sure but i admit, if i had that sort of contact happen to me i would stay on my feet and i image all of us would.

Yea, Arsenal come to that hospital every year around this time. My dad once met and had a chat with Sol Cambell and Thierry Henry! They both had the same car as well! it hink it was a range rover of some sort.

At that time, Song was their too and when my dad saw Song(unkown at the time) he was asking him this "excuse me, who are you?" as he was blending in with the other arsenal crew lol!

My dad is a security guard so at the time he was escorting them around the building into the childrens ward.:)

As a supporter of the Irish team I don't think McCarthy joining us would be good for his development. Our midfield is stacked as it stands. I wouldn't drop Wilshere, Arteta or Cazorla for McCarthy. Plus you have promising youngsters in the form of Ramsey and Coquelin who Wenger likes to give game time to. Factor in the presence of Rosicky who is still a good player who can't get into the team much and suddenly Arsenal looks like a very bad career move for McCarthy.

Was thinking about this and I forgot to mention Frimpong, who seems to be part of Wenger's long term plan as well. Ditto for Eisfeld.

I would fall down quicker than you could blink. And would have a dirty smirk on my face when the penalty went in. Winning matches beats the moral high ground any day!

Yeah i saw the match earlier and saw the incident with RVP. Your man from swansea really meant to lash the ball at him i reckon lucky he wasnt sent off or both of them really with RVPs reaction.

    Misleading video title is misleading...

Fair play to Ashley Williams. I'd have done exactly the same. He must be a gooner!

Fergie almost implying it was attempted murder

It was nothing, players willingly smash their head into balls travelling just as fast, if not faster, on a regular basis. It's called heading the ball.

I didn't see the match so the video might be a bit out of context but it looked like Williams was going to clear the ball to me.Either way Ferguson is being extremely hyperbolic with his remarks tbh.

    Fergie, hyperbolic? Never!

So, how about that Arsenal FC? Our next game is against Newcastle at home. Hopefully another 3 points before strenghtening our squad in January and winning the treble.

Regarding the video i have three things to say. Cantona kung-fu fan kick, Roy Keane and Scholes :P

    Ferguson is really overreacting.
