Still no word of Walcott signing a new deal.
Arsenal have let this linger far too long and that's bad business .... if they really want him to stay.

If he was going to sign he'd have signed alongside the other 5 lads. Personally, I'm glad Arsenal aren't giving into his demands. He's good, but not that good.

Wenger said the other day the club/he's got no problem giving Theo what he's worth or something very similar

What Theo's agents/Theo think he's worth is another matter

His agents people are supposed to have been cúnts about the whole thing

I'm not so sure about that. His ego would mean he'd want to be the centre of attention, and wouldn't like to share the limelight when signing on.

His ego will be his undoing. He wants to be the center of attention, but also wants Arsenal to buy players of higher quality. What he doesn't realise is that he is over-estimating himself and will be one of the first out the door if we do.

Agents get a lot of the blame but its simple enough, if Walcott really wants to stay then he could wrap it up in no time, agent or no agent

Why doesn't Santi take our free kicks?

Bottle job from Wenger with the subs.

Bottle job from Wenger with the subs.

The subs were perfect, Coquelin broke up play nicely and Ramsey was needed as Ox wasn't tracking back very well. Coquelin, Ramsey and Wilshere all battled very well in the last 15.

    What game were you watching

Nice to get a nice solid boring win.

Big three points that, but of a break now they can rest

Subs were exactly what was needed, why bring on attacking minded players when Wigan looked like the more likely team to score. If you can get a 1-0 then take it.

I'm talking about bringing on players to defend a one goal lead against a team in relegation, pathetic, could have easily lost it at the end on numerous occasions.

So you would rather we put on attacking players and maybe loose a goal

Richie Sadlier mentioned in his Sunday Indo column there a fortnight ago that agents are a law onto their own and are in a world far removed from the rest of us. He almost made a comeback himself from injury to sign for Sunderland back in 2006 but his agent basically made a ridiculous wage demand. Niall Quinn tried to reason with Sadlier on the phone and Sadlier agreed it was too much under the circumstances but the agent still wouldnt budge.

The subs were what was needed at the time, if he had brought on attacking players at that point it would have been suicidal.

he did well I thought, Wigan were always going to push hard for the last 10 or 15 minutes and AW did well to counter that.

People call for us to be more resilient and hold onto these one goal leads, and we did today.
The performance today wasn't near our best but the fact that we came away with a win is the main thing.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Had he brought on Arshavin and Gervinho in an attempt to push on and score a second I guarantee people like you would be accusing Wenger of kamikazee tactics.

Cavani, Falcao and Villa. No new contract for you Theo :P

I also heard Chamakh is off to West Ham for £4million in January. I'd wager good money he'll score against us on the rescheduled Boxing Day match.

Im not so sure Chamakh is as bad as we think. Big Sams direct game could suit him down to pal as i think with the right ball he is good in the air. Arsenal never gave him the right supply.

Could a player not just sack an agent in a situation like that? Surely they're adults who can take control of their own lives when needs be?

I tell ya what I would sign McCarthy

As our friend ARRY would say

    Top top player

United drawing against city 2 weeks ago,Ferguson brings on welbeck and united win the game, its called having some liathroidi, why not try push on and finish off the game, can you imagine the team of the invincibles, putting on players to defend a one goal lead, its simple as that.

But we weren't drawing the game, we were winning. We could try finishing them off and risk conceding on the counter then all of a sudden Wengers head is on a stake.

i cant believe you are complaining about the subs. The subs were perfect today. Wenger got it spot on

You sir, don't understand the mentality of professional footballers. :P
They're essentially overpampered big babies who can scarcely cross the road without an a entourage of assistants...
