Once CS:S / CS:Go gets ported over, I will switch my main install to Debian (or maybe I'll try something new... suggestions? :), until then, I'll have to stick with Windows on my PC.

I'd suggest whatever Steam suggests. They seem to have the game developers targeting Ubuntu 12.04.

I dumped an Ubuntu 12.10 install for a 12.04 due to the games looking for older libraries.

Right, so Mint 13 is too new for it. I'm not one bit arsed reinstalling an older version, but I reckon Mint 12 would work.

Away from linux box at the moment, but yep, the .deb file won't run. If I remember, something else like >12.04 Ubuntu.

Will check it when I get home, and let you know.

Mint 13 can't be too new, I have it working on Mint 14!

Mint 13 is based on Ubuntu 12.04, it's not too new.

Just updated, and run the .bed again. Installed fine.

Seems to be graphical issues when I full screen the window though.

Only have TF2 in my playlist that will work on steam, D/Ling now to try it out.

I use a Docky, centre bottom position. Can't give up my panel though, and it kinda overlaps. Just thought about moving the panel to a different position. :o Bit embarrassed I didn't think of it before now!

I tried to run serious Sam last night but upon starting it it said it couldn't verify my drivers. I continued anyway to horrendous play back. I had my graphics card turned on but i didn't optirun the game. Could this be the issue?
