    Dear Dr. Daly,

Please come back in disguise and kidnap your son.
He is the most annoying child I have ever met or taught.
Don't bring him back. I will pay a ransom. I promise.
If a letter to Santa won't work, this one is worth a go.

    From Maeve

laura & nessa new years eve kiss confirmed whos with me

that scene with charlie & ben was funny , ah dermot lol

Finn walks in at the crucial moment and faints.

The beard was as realistic as Esther's wig. Why do these Santa wannabes always wear those stupid fake beards. Always irritated me when I was a child.

Unless you are a doctor with a lovechild and on the run from the law, I don't think Maeve's letter will get to your address!!

I just had one of those light bulb moments. I have now figured out where Luke Dillon's wooden acting style would fit in perfectly - Star Trek. Those actors used to have that emotionless, robotic style down to a tee - all of them, and rarely did they ever break that facade.

"There's Klingons on the starboard bow captain." He would kill it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 297 ✭✭wordsmithi

The thing with Ben is, if he was your child you would be stuck with him. This little horror is adopted. Can't they send him back????????????? I would.

you mean like Data, the green faced fella who was either a freak of nature or a robot as he liked to think of himself as. I had my doubts.
Do you remember Damien had a star trek jumper he used to wear in every episode. Luke must have stole it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He might reveal it and call it a favourite vest when he goes to the doctor for a
    check up.

I wonder if Louie has sold the pub? If he has, I sincerely hope he didn't sell it to some gangland type (the appearance of sleazeball Farrell makes it likely). There's nothing on TV that depresses me more than organised crime storylines in Fair City.

As for a possible Laura/Neasa pairing, I wonder if Caoimhe, rather than Neasa is the intended Laura love interest. She has been in a few of the scenes with them, and it looked like (maybe it's just me) that Laura gave her a bit of an appraising glance when she was dressed up in the Santa outfit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 799 ✭✭✭dixiedan

Cass- would you ever get out of that stupid elf uniform you're wearing ffs! You stopped being funny a long time ago. But whatever you put on, don't put on that brown jacket. I'm sick of looking at it ffs!

Val- change your hairstyle ....please :(

Ben - you little pr!ckeen, stop being so irritating.

That Santa outfit scene was over WAYYYY too quickly (note to self, must learn how to use pause button)

Did someone put superglue on Laura's bar stool?
Is the elf suit the only item of clothing that Cass has or is his laundry stuck in the washing machine?
Carol seemed more upset by what Dolly said to her rather than Louie's betrayal. She had a party when he skipped town.
Louie didn't seem to own much, all his worldly goods fitted into a bin bag. Not a hoarder anyway. One thing about him. He is easy to dump.

Christmas is coming. He might get some new clothes:rolleyes:
Surely the helping hand will help him. They can't go wrong. Dress sense is already as bad as it gets.

Stephen got a few good lines in tonight . I think he is starting to cacoon from an extra to a main player . I think he should have a word with orla about her being the town interferer on camera to show his range.

Yes noticed that and the noddy head moving, (she is sort of like Sailor Pig from Xfactor contestants) Renee should have clattered her with a B**b when she got stroppy.

No, all the children are precocious, obnoxious and nerve-grating. Clara wasn't as bad as others, but she was ... over grinny and I just felt uncomfortable with her on screen. I feel sorry for those parents paying a fortune for drama lessons. If it's the best national standard it's absolutely disgraceful. I don't blame the kids (really). The Late Late toy show is just toe curlingly embarrassing too.

    Totally unnatural and grotesque.

Impossible to take her seriously - all I can think of is the Fetchit/Grabit double act.

  • Registered Users Posts: 297 ✭✭wordsmithi

Well, Chesney in Corrie as a little fella and another red- haired lad (is it a coincidence or ......) Jay in Eastenders as a young fella were good actors imho.

  • Registered Users Posts: 297 ✭✭wordsmithi

Anyone a fan of 'The Wonder Years'. The guy who played the boy Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) was a super actor. That is what I call talented. Himself and his best friend Paul and of course, Winnie Cooper, his first love.........................

Unfortunately, this seems to be the case for us irish audiences!:(:(

The most annoying child after Ben of course has to be Zak with his posh accent and him supposed to be from Kilkenny.

Does anyone know who the owner of the pub is who is getting Carol evicted? Was thinking its Louis but surely he wouldn't be so bad as to make her and Jack homeless?

Good point,I think Louis is only part owner with Bob so I don't know if Louis would have to get agreement from Bob in order to evict Carol, that's my take on it.

I'd say going by the solicitor that gave her the notice, I'd say it's some of the rough crowd that she was married into years ago. Could be totally wrong but just a feeling! And I can not think of any of their bloody names! :)

Speaking of Zak, he doesn't seem to be missed by his family all that much.

I can't see Louis having any cuppa and a chat with Bob about anything!

Logics don't seem to have any place in the writers heads. It is probably another ill thought out idea like the Lucy saga.

I was a bit cruel there with that remark. Can't see what Laura saw in Emily, and she a fitness fanatic. It just doesn't add up. (It is FC so that answers itself).

I don't think the pub ever had a full house when Louis was at the helm. As soon as he scarpers the place turns into the galley. Doesn't say alot for Louis. Carol hasn't lost her touch. She should contact her former sister in-law, Chrissie, that would keep the wolves from the door.

Suppose they were leading with the wacky notion that it's not always all about looks.

Hope Carol puts up a fight, I love seeing feisty Carol back, have to disagree with a few posters here, think she's actually quite a good actress, at least by Fair City standards.

Have to agree with you on both counts. I thought Carol was a good actress throughout the death of Lorcan and when Billy was vicious to her. Very realistic. Val should take lessons from her.

Carol and Louis were also examples of opposites attract. I thought that Carol was too feisty for him. Louis is a very weak character. He is spineless and he showed that so well in his last episode.

I wonder if Carol is going to move in with Bob. That might be where his fondness of her was going.... Then he would get to be around Jack a lot. Looks like she is going to need him, but it's hard to know, I see Christy is there for her too. Orla busybody needs someone to tell her to feck off, I was sorry it wasn't Carol.
    More Stephen pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Orla could do with some big story. She is really just floating around the place with a few little words of wisdom for everyone. She is in the show long enough to get a role she can sink her teeth into. Bob and Carol? What a thought! Would he adopt Jack? Louis's reaction would be interesting to say the least!

If Bob and Carol get together we'll need a Ted and Alice to make it more interesting.
