Couldn't have been bothered doing that tbh, very easy for people to Google simple questions, if you can't find the answer then ask!

That was a simple question. Every site that lists specs states that the 800 has the music streaming function . Would be a bit of a disaster if it didn't .

Can I use Bluetooth headphones on the lumia?

You can indeed. Just go to Setting > Bluetooth and pair your devices.

Dont forget to turn off your Bluetooth when you're not using it, as it can waste a lot of battery.

You can use the Network Dashboard app to pin a shortcut to your Bluetooth settings on your Start Screen. It also lets you pin Wifi, 3G and Flight Mode.

Hope you enjoy your new phone.:)

Do you ever read the previous posts?:p

Don't be a tool. If every question was answered with 'Use Google', these forums wouldn't last long.

Is the Pocket app (or something similar) available on Marketplace?

As I understand it, this allows you to cache online articles and read them later offline

There's a good few third party apps that work with it to various degrees: http://getpocket.com/apps/windowsphone

The offical Windows 7.8 firmware is avaliable for the Nokia Lumia 800 to download using the Nokia Firmware downloader. If you do install the firmware using the Nokia Care Suite it will hard rest your phone.

Just doing it as we speak. The correct firmware isn't up for my phone so I'm using a German one. Should be finished soon :)

Most likely meant to say hard reset. Which will delete all your content and reset settings on phone

It will wipe all your data and settings. It'll be like having a brand new phone out of the box.

You can either go back to the music player and pause it there, or when you press one of the volume buttons it will bring up the volume panel which has the music controls as well.

It's a little confusing because you don't ever stop/reset/close music, you just pause it and that's it.

Indeed, rather odd. There's an app in the Marketplace called Stop the music! which used to be free but is now €0.99. If you find it annoying it might be worth getting.

To stop music completely, go into settings and background processes or whatever it says, you should be able to stop it in there.

Or download the app "stop the music" on marketplace.

Hmmm... seems pretty risky for someone who has no idea what they're doing

There's probably some on-screen warnings along the way to warn people about the process?

Good to hear that 7.8 is in the atmosphere finally!

After spending the past 3 hours with Windows Phone 7.8, I can honestly say my favourite new feature, is being able to use Google as the default search engine.

You can set it as default? I didn't think they'd let you do that.

Sort of. The Search Button still uses Bing, but if you type a search into the address bar in Internet Explorer, it will use Google.

Not without hacking it. I've just learned to avoid the button.

How long would you expect say Meteor to release the 7.8 download through zune? Is it a long wait usually, like what was it for 7.5 does anyone remember? Or am I better off to just download it now through NCS? That new start screen looks very handy!

Microsoft say they wont be releasing it until Q1 2013. So after that.

    yikes thats a long wait!

To the guys who know about flashing roms and all that, can I install a 7.8 rom through NCS fine, even if I currently have a (I assume) locked meteor 7.5 rom, or do I need to get a unbranded 7.5 rom first?
