Nexus 4 ordering process

Just got a heads up from my cousin in Vegas that it shipped today, like you TPD she ordered it on the 28th of last month so was expecting 2-3 weeks delivery, fingers crossed to have it by Christmas.

The thread on XDA has gone crazy due to this, its seems like everyone with 1~2 or 5-6 week orders is seeing it. Looks like they are taking it as a sign of shipment about to start. But they'd take anything as a sign over there at this stage! I don't recall my N10 order going from pending to pre-ordered, pretty sure it went from pending straight to shipping.

A lot of very unhappy Google customers online. The lack of consistent information is leaving alot to be desired.

Mine is pre-ordered on play store and still pending in wallet.

I never checked play store before to see it, what was the status before it was pre-ordered, if it was ever different?

Mine was ordered at 6-7 weeks indicated.

Mine says Ships Soon on the play store but it just looks like it's unaware of my previous order and it's allowing me to add another to my cart.

Battery's not great if this is anything to go buy, removing the user replaceable battery option wasn't the best idea.

I've yet to have a smartphone that doesn't need a charge once every 24 hours.
I've chargers at home, in the office and car. As it uses micro USB you shouldn't have any problems topping up.

I'm getting far better usage that that real life.
I only charge every 2 days. I actually put it on charge last night (wed) after unplugging it Monday morning and it still had 32% left.

I'm not a heavy user I suppose as I have my Nexus 7 lying about at home and use that for browsing in the house.

That "msm_hsic_host" is still my biggest battery drain. If they could find out what that is and sort it then I'd be getting even longer.

I already have my wallet unlocked again, but the person who replied to me said they tried 3 further times, all being cancelled!

Lads just to let you know all the 'oh it's just gone pending or pre order on wallet or play or wherever' is all nonsense. I was in the original limbo level 3 from the first order it would regularly change status and also the money would get put on hold for a few days then back in my account then back on hold. There were people constantly posting crap on xda about what was changing and that definitely meant it was on it way... As i said all nonsense.
On the third time they removed my money I got a text from parcel motel to say there was something there. I got the phone around the start of last month and I only got 2, yes 2, shipping emails in the last couple of days.
Basically I'm saying it's a pain waiting but you'll get it when you get it and all the status changing won't worth a **** unfortunately.

On another thing could one of the mods possibly move all the post about ordering to another thread and keep this one about the phone itself. Maybe the nexus 4 and 10 thread could be closed and just a thread on the 10 created as a lot of it is reposted between each thread.

I got notification today that I have an order waiting for pickup at the local Parcel Motel - the only thing that could be is the N4

I placed my order at 5.04pm on Dec 4, with an estimate of 1-2 weeks, so it's managed to make it just inside the two weeks - so something is happening...

Maybe a new Nexus 4 owners thread could be started separate from this one? Probably less hassle.

Mine has arrived by the way, just waiting now on the GF to bring it over

Does anyone know if these could be got in store anywhere in london? I checked the carphone warehouse website but the sim-free version seems to be out of stock in all their stores. Three are only offering it on contract from what I can see.

Anyone who went up north to get one, what shop did you get it in?
