Watch this crazy woman overtake and immediately brake in front of the British Gas van.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,493 ✭✭✭fergiesfolly

Looked like "she" was going to miss her exit and pulled stupid manouvre, rather than wait for the next one.Didn't spot the car on the exit lane till she passed the van, so she had to break heavy to get off behind it.
How did ya know its a woman?

Another camera reviewed by TechMoan, about 45 euro inc post.

In car footage starts at 9.28, night time starts at 10.56

I don't think this is a great cam - video quality isn't great and unbelievably you have to make up your own cable which costs about 12 euro.

Smallest dash cam, 30 euro inc post.

TechMoan will be reviewing it early next year.

Looks a very nifty cam - 720p, 140 degrees, records sound.

Might be good as a rear window / side window camera.

Seems to be 2 names for this camera, K9M HD or K5H HD.

    ebay K5H HD
    ebay K9M HD

Mrs Nissan doctor had my car today and caught this on her way home.
Mind boggling, especially with such a well known brand plastered on the truck.

Holy Crap. And stobart are usually one of the operators with better road manners.

Just posted it onto one of their drivers book faces. I wouldn't be mailing it on. Nobody needs a job loss as much of a silly move as that was.

Nobody needs one, but nobody needs to lose their life either. And sooner or later they will with that sort of carry on.

Actually the road layout looks kind of odd there, it looks like the stobart driver was misled by the road to me. But still a big goof to make.

This roundabout in Dundalk is a nightmare for people pulling out in front of you. You're more at risk taking the correct line like I did here, than if you just bull across all lanes.

Must have been twelve inches away.

In miserable rainy weather this morning, this guy(looked about 60) in the black car would not let me merge onto the M1 this morning. I had checked my mirrors, the coast was clear, indicated and the guy ramped the speed up in his powerful car to try to get past me despite myself ahead of him more than a car length at the time of ready to merge.
Worse still he moved out of the M50 bound lane after into a M1 only lane as the lane i was merging into was destined only for the M50, so not worth his while what he was doing hogging a lane he had no business driving in at the time of merge!

Have often seen the point being made in the motor forums "Well, I'm not forced by law to move over, so I don't".
Usually boot it past assholes like that.

He wasn't going fast, the section of road under the bridge is only a very slight bend and the roads weren't icy.....and he must have indicated by accident too if he didn't do it on purpose

so, just wondering if anybody would recommend somebody to fit a dash cam into and mondeo, in the Dublin, Kildare region.
would like it connected through the dash board to the battery and all wires tucked away.

Also what would be peoples recommendation on a dashcam.

EDIT: just having a quick look over the thread again, I take it the iTronics ITB100hd is the way to go.

I use a guy I found on boards, thxireland, he's reasonably priced and knows and enjoys what he does. If you're hooking one up and want it recording while the vehicle is not in use, I'd suggest fitting a 2nd battery. Have a look here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056821273

For one of these clips to be court admissible do you need anything more than date and time stamp ? Has anybody heard of someone being prosecuted by one of these type clips being handed in the Gardai or would the Gardai have to have been there to witness it. @Nissan Doctor nice clip I have found Bus Drivers (IN GENERAL) to be some of the worst drivers in Ireland.

When I caught this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxxCCpdQ7Xw

I told the bus driver and got a phone call later from a garda asking me to hand it in to them. Had to fill out a statement saying it wasn't edited in any way etc. I'm not sure if anything happened as the last I heard the cyclist was fine and just had a few bruises.

Yeah he'll be able to clean it up and have your lighter socket free. He did for my vans :)

By the way, the clip I posted above is from a new 1080 HD cam I bought from China. Specs below, i'll post up a new sample clip when it actually stops raining with no resulting mud spots\streaks on my windscreen! ;) I haven't had a clear rainless daylight day yet for driving since I got the cam. Even when it didn't rain, splashes from other traffic have muddied up the view! :)

It takes a microsd card, I have a class 10 16gb Sandisk ultra in mine. The software they supply doesn't work in Win7 so GPS portion(location) may in fact be useless though it does track your speed onscreen in the MOV file but I don't really use the GPS so not a big deal. The cam reads regs of cars fine, not just those in front of you, also in the lanes beside you. The suction cup supplied has to be 'enhanced' to make it stick, I apply hand sanitiser to the base which makes it a solid stick to the windscreen. It hangs from the windscreen about the same height as your car mirror, its small, light and compact but uses a screw to hold it in, its not a clip on clip off solution which is a downer. Just takes a few seconds longer to screw on\unscrew off.

I bought one of those 3 way lighter plug adaptors and wired to to the rear of the factory lighter and mounted it in the glove box so I can plug in the camera, satnav(both permenantly fitted in the car) and a phone charger all out of sight and the dash still looks tidy.

This way means the only wires you have to cut are on the cheap 3 way adaptor.
