Haha, No. I just used google! :p

    GTA Cork city

You'd need the english subtitles on the whole time, cant understand a word they'd say.
Plus you'd need a mission where you assassinate the Echo man :pac:

As a Cork feen i agree 100% with you.:)

On a side note anyone else hoping to see the return of the chainsaw as a weapon??

Many a Vice City resident had that grisly end at the hands of Tommy Vercetti.

I would love to see the return of the chainsaw. Although they are bringing back bikes so fingers crossed.

I would like to see something different such as Moscow or Tokyo.

What about Bangkok ? Up there as one of the sleaziest cities in the world.

Thai drug traffickers, rampant prostitution, extreme poverty, Triads, Russian mafia, sex tourists, thousands of trannys, backpackers etc

I reckon Rockstar could do something great with Thailand.

You'd have to be from Galway, but that is utterly epic! Just spent that last few mins laughing at that

Pretty sweet mockup of the map based on the trailers and images.

    Thats pretty cool alright.

I wonder do the R* developers sit around looking at the forums and have a good chuckle at things like this? You know you would!

Did anyone get anywhere close with their map predictions in previous games? Seems like an awful lot of effort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,488 ✭✭✭Blisterman

Personally I'm looking forward to comparing the actual game map to this.

Played through GTAIV and TLAD and I think I realised something. I'm not sure if any of the mission put you over a three-star wanted level. Or if they do, you don't have to escape them, but rather reach the storylined end of the mission.

Previous games had missions stealing stuff from army bases and the like, or at least got the feds after you. Possibly a reason GTAIV didn't seem as hard as previous games. The police were never truly after you in most missions.

You remember the GTA 2 mission to steal a cop car, then a SWAT van, then a Fed car......and then the b*stard goes and asks for a tank.

Doing that one in one go was an achievement.

And the mission where you break your man out of prison for Derrick...

There might be one or two alright, but for a lot of them, you don't necessarily need to lose the cops, just reach a certain point and the mission ends, clearing your wanted level. The only one I can really think of is for Phil Bell and his nephew. My point is there were no big 6-star wanted level missions like there used to be, even without the army being in the game

To be fair, looking at the actual mission content, calling in the army (or whatever the six star equivalent was) would be a huge over-reaction. You didn't do anything that required calling them in.

I think the wanted levels given fit the crimes that were committed.

I don't even remember the FIB coming after you apart from the Phil Bell mission. I agree, army would be overboard, but even with the 5-star wanted level from Three Leaf Clover, it's all just SWAT but it's also scripted and you escape from them by following the mission structure rather than actually having to try and get away from them or get to a Pay N Spray. You'll lose the wanted level as part of the mission.

The mission where you free Derrick's enemy from the prison van was also only a three-star wanted level.

PSN has the 12th of May up as the release date, not sure if anyone spotted it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

That would be a result. I was asked yesterday to pop to the UK that weekend for something with a friend and hadn't answered yet. I'll be making my excuses now.

Where you getting that info from? Doubt PSN would put it up with out Rockstar actually releasing the date. I'm guessing its a mistake or it's for San Andreas on PSN

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,845 ✭✭✭py2006

Sure any site selling the game has a date up. Which is just a guesstimate.

May isnt Spring! -takes cover- :pac:

May would be ideal for me. I'll have exams (probably) early May so will only need to wait a week or so before I can go nuts with the game :D
