I should be an interesting clash tonight; two managers who have consistently outdone themselves by punching above their weight on limited resources.

Hope we get through tonight without injury. Everton are tough tacklers.

It'll be a real defensive test too, should be interesting to see how we cope.

I agree they're the bigger club but Wigan are in 15th and City are in second whereas at the moment Everton and Arsenal are two big rivals for 4th place playing each other with only a point between them. On paper its a more competitive game with more riding on it, which should mean more neutrals watching. I wouldn't expect Man City v Wigan to get precedence over two teams battling relegation either if you get what I mean.

Even if it was Spurs - Pool it would be more understandable.

Lads what are ye blabbering on about, tee tv rights are sold in such a way that every team has to be shown a certain number of times, it has feck all to do with the respective matches and this decision was taken back in July/August.

And there were no other times to give City or Wigan tv time?

If ya think he is slipping or not, it's still an amazing job the boss has done for the last seven years. Very good read this

“We are in a position where we can compete with the clubs for the transfer period. If you look at the recent years, we have lost players and not small players.”

    Start with Theo please!

Strange old team tonight, in Wenger we trust.

    Podolski just rested?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,969 ✭✭✭robby^5

Ramsey looked great against Villa (maybe because everyone else was so poor) but if he's played out of position again It'll be another tactical mystery from Wenger when Cazorla can play wide. I've been looking forward to seeing Ramsey and Wilshere in midfield, I think they could complement each other very nicely. *edit* Just realised Ramsey will probably be tasked with keeping Baines quiet.

Also no Podolski at all? :/

Unless it's an injury he really needs to work on his fitness, has only lasted a full 90 once so far and yet to do so in the league.

I'd say we'll see ramsey out wide tonight

    Arteta

    Wilshere

    Cazorla
    Walcott
    Ramsey
    Giroud

Podolski supposedly has a minor illness
Wenger tells French TV tonight that he plans to sign 2 players in Jan & confirms intentions to loan Henry - via

    2 New players :O

    Where are the ramsey defenders?

Cazorla Arteta Wilshere doesn't work. They've lost the midfield battle in every game they've played vs 10 men. Tonight they got outplayed by Gibson and Osman. That says an awful lot.

Toothless, not using Giroud enough with any meaningful crosses, and I just cannot figure out bringing in subs so late into the game.

At least our rivals West Ham didn't win.

Coq for Santi with 2 minutes left, good man Arsene

A kitten with ebola has more fight in it than we do these days. Another toothless performance. We have a striker who's strengths we dont play to, a passing game that has been stinking in the last 2 games and no options on the bench. Sorry state of affairs.

I still think Arteta is being played out of position where he is and Wilshere isn't doing what he used to do. We need a proper defensive midfielder as far as I'm concerned, not the double pivot or whatever **** we play that leaves the defence utterly exposed the whole time. The last 2 matches we defended OK around the box but in the build-up we look awfully vulnerable. It's to be expected really I suppose.

Should have done it 15 minutes earlier, Santi killed every attack we had in the 2nd half. He also has this incredible ability to ignore the first pass on the counter attack, cut inside, wait 4 seconds, then pass it sideways.

    21 points out of a possible 42 = 50%.
Not good enough for Arsenal. We are dire lads. Going absolutely nowhere.

We're a couple of first-team players and actually playing to their strengths away from being very good tbh. Whether or not I see that changing any time soon though is another thing altogether.

At this rate he could be "Three-o Walcott" by the end of the season.
