We do ours on the Monday closest to the 7th December.

We usually do it one of the days near-ish my birthday, the 6th.

When is it acceptable to put up the Christmas decorations? I usually hold out until my birthday, which is 17 days before X-mas.

Always Dec 8th in my house, wonder how many times my dog will knock the tree. We have an artificial and she always tries to pull off the decorations like some kinda fat magpie.

Haha when I was living at home it was around the week before Christmas Day. In my place now we already have the tree up. I don't mind either if I'm honest.

Advent begins on the 8th, that's when I officially acknowledge Christmas.

My dog tends to be very nice around the tree until it comes down. He tries to steal whatever ornaments he can on the 7TH of January! The only time he's really P###ed me off at Christmas was when he broke a very large musical snowglobe, because I wasn't paying attention to him at the time!

Advent actually begins on the 4th Sunday before Christmas.

You're right actually I was mistaken, the 8th is the feast of the Immaculate Conception. I always associate this with the beginning of Christmas for some reason.

Just been testing out the christmas tree lights there. They are quite dull in comparison to two years ago. Also watching Casino Royale. Hitting a man in the balls with the knot of a rope, at the risk of sounding like a cinema-goer prickishly narrating a movie but that HAS to hurt.

I don't think that's a knot of a rope, I always thought it was a steel weight on the end of the rope, which would definitely be worse

Those are points well spent. I'm going to start ep 5 today, looking forward to it.

Picked up RE6 on Amazon for £15 too.

And eat our hang and chayze sangwidges and drinking cold tea from an old bottle of TK lemonade making ang, ang, ang noises while eating.
    Just me no?

Speaking of MS points, I hope Sony do something similar for the PS4. Trophies are worthless when you could be getting points that can be used for DLC instead.

Are you sure you're not getting Microsoft points and Gamer points mixed up on Xbox?

You have to pay for MS points to buy DLC and when you complete achievements in games you get gamer points but these cant be used to buy DLC.

Exactly. If anything, I'd prefer Microsoft to actually use monetary terms rather than MS Points because I can never think of how much something costs when I see it in MS points.

Though adding money to your account based on trophies or achievements would be brilliant though. Even just if it only gave you a discount or something

They have. Its 1% if your gs is above 15,000 and 2% if its above 25,000.
Not earth shattering by any accounts.

Ah reminds me of my younger days. Now remember No Drozes, Dude Loves, Goldusts or D-Lo Browns but it's ok to get me Gangrel, Kurrgan, Bossman and Marc Mero if your stuck.

Oh really? Never knew that. Yeah, not a huge discount.

With the rewards points system (rewards.xbox.com) its not bad, you get a nice surprise after a few months when you get free points.

I traded in wwe 13 for the new family guy game. I needed something fun after my unbridled annoyance at the online mode.
Not a bad game so far, got great fg humor unlike the other game they brought out a few years ago.

a faulty plug blew the fuse in a multi-plug adapter - it killed all the HDMI ports on my TV :( which means I have to connect the PS3/360 via component and my PC via VGA. Bought a long VGA cable and component hub and both have problems - the component hub shows interference, and the VGA cable makes my computer get really loud! I think some of the outputs on my graphics card are f**ked :( It's all a f**kin' bust! Needed to vent.

    Ouch :(:(

Anyways, your Straight Edge Saviour has returned to the forums!!!:pac:

Hey D2D :) where you been?

The VGA cable works - tried it out on the monitor - but the HDMI makes my computer get really loud - so hopefully it's the €10 HDMI cable that's the problem and not my €200 graphics card!

Hey JayK :) I had a bit of a sabbatical from wrestling on the whole for a while...... No watching shows/PPV's etc.... Only caught up on Survivor Series recently enough and decided to make a return! I'm not gonna be like Y2J and disappear after 8 months :pac:

I'd probably go with the HDMI cable as well with that. Can't see that there'd be a problem with a €200 graphic's card to cause that

I thought they were the same thing :o

Have 1 point = 1 cent so they arent just giving stuff away, even 0.5 cent if they want to ensure you have to play a lot to get anything. Anything would be better than what they have now. Just got my 100% trophy in LA Noire and it means nothing. Even if it only got me a few cent, it would still be actually worth doing. Most of my games have the trophy count under 20% because they arent worth anything. If I got something in return, I'd be much more likely to try and get them.
