I can see the Mexican border being in it. Not getting my hopes up but its a possibility.

Would it distance itself from reality too much if they included the Mexican border but not San Diego?

Its already distanced itself from reality by having a gigantic mountain just north of LA.

Ummm perhaps, actually having said that the whole story they're going for doesn't really seem to give much reason to include the Mexican border. Not even too sure what having a Mexican border would even entail but it seemed to be pretty hyped up last year and the idea of it sounds good.

I'm actually not expecting anything that shocking in relation to another city. I just wonder how developed the outer towns will be.

Next person who brings up the Spring debate doesn't get to play GTAV. Don't ask me how, but I'll make it happen.

They did the Mexico thing in RDR, cant see them doing it again so soon. Maybe if their were more cities but I doubt they will throw it in for the sake of it.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the LA Noire map is like compared to IV or RDR?

the la noire map is huge compared to gta 4 map but its all built up city and very boring

Yep, LA Noire has a huge map but it's very hollow. Looks good, but dull.

To be fair, it's pretty much the opposite of GTA as youre supposed to be the good guys. I just tried to run down pedestrians and it is incredibly tough to do so. I hit one but he was able to get back up and hobble off slowly while clutching his side. In GTA, if you want to hit someone, nine times out of ten you will. I doubt it would be considered dull if you had the same freedom you have in GTA.

It's a huge city but I havent seen it mentioned once when talking about size. Surely thats a better indicator than saying three times the size of RDR?

No, I think it's the outdoor amphitheatre. Doesn't look like a dam anyway.

From what we seen so far is there anything your desperate to do? Obviously a trip to MT. Chillad is on the cards. I think the first thing I'll do is put on a pair of shorts and t-shirt with Michael and take a nice long cycle, taking in the sights from the top of Mt. Chillad, through the tiny towns and into Los Santos itself, right across the map. I'm really hoping for some stunning scenery in the wilderness and rare animals that when you see your just like OMG!

Explore the ocean. I really cant wait.

I wonder will there be any surprises? I'm hoping for some islands out there. How cool if there was like an island that operated as a sort of lair for your major adversary which you had to infiltrate or a Los Santos version of Alcatraz. I'd love a stealth prison break type mission :D

I really don't like the fact that they continued with the non buying of property and commercial businesses. I don't understand it. It was nice to look at all the things you owned throughout the city, whether it was a luxurious mansion, a car dealership or a strip club. At the end it has to feel like your work throughout the game has been for a reason, in GTAIV, the story was over and Niko was just a lost soul with no tangible reward for his work. Particularly in this game it would have been appropriate. Imagine owning the major harbour in the city with the biggest yacht! Think it would be class!

I want to go see Grove Street.

It'll be the first thing i do once I fire up the game. Might even go there on a bike for nostalgia's sake! :)

My first hour and a half will be me repeatedly cycling up, and flying down Mt. Chilliad. From the majority of my posts in this thread, its not really an unexpected answer from me :p

Apart from the map (which I am obviously looking forward to exploring), Im really looking forward to the missions. It sounds like a lot of thought has been put into them instead of the mindless drive, shoot, kill, escape that we have seen in previous games.

Having to plan a robbery sounds so f-ing cool.

Cant wait to fly arond the dirt roads and up around the mountain :D

Probably get this for my PS3 that collects dust rather than wait for PC version. I only hope the frame rate is half decent.

Knowing the Rockstar sense of humour i am still holding out for a giant statue of CJ holding a AK-47 ready to roll on the ballers for the hommies.:D

I think a lot of people are going to be dissapointed when they realise CJ never existed in this universe.

I got a random thought earlier, nothing to do with V. For VI, I hope they do a completely new city rather than Vice City. As awesome as it was, I don't really want yet another repeat city. I think it'll be time for a new city since it will likely be a new universe too. Let V be the end of the old cities.

And for VII I would like it to be in space. VIII should be a merger of all the games. Have all the characters from each one in it.

All of that progress in about 8 years. I wonder what games are going to look like in 2020.

I've always wanted a near-future GTA game in the style of future Hill Valley from Back to the Future 2.

These are pretty funny. Comments made on the second trailers youtube over generic scenic shots.
