Turning off Parkgate st onto the N4, as I sat in traffic like everyone else, I noticed a distinct lack of private cars tramping up the bus lane. I was wondering why when a red 156 broke suit and flew up the bus lane. 10 mins later, I get up beside this bus. Infront of it was a certain red 156, driver with a red face as a Garda was taking stuff down....

A quick question for you all.

How many intake strokes does a 4 cylinder engine do per revolution? Just doing a thing for college and need to calculate the flow rate through the engine.
I think it's 2 but my mind has gone all funny :confused:

I think you're right, would have said one myself until you visualise the motion of the piston/crankshaft.
Suck, squeeze, bang, blow = 4 strokes, each cylinder does two of these for each revolution?
So, one of the four will be sucking, then squeezing, while another is blowing then sucking?

Yeah? That's not a good thing dude :)

An insurer can refuse to quote given your "not at fault" history if they so desire.

It's worst case scenario stuff but happens.

If somebody came to you with lets say six not at fault claims in under 4 years, would you take them on?

    I'd wonder all right.

Actually now I'm confused (i've been studying all day so my brain is mush)

If they are not at fault why would they have to declare the claim? Surely they would have claimed off a third party and there is no reason for them to reveal that to a new insurer? Isn't it only claims on your policy you report?

Nope..... Generally all Insurers ask "How many claims have you had in the past five year regardless of blame / fault?"

Ah I see, I've not had to claim against someone so not something I'd have considered.

but sure you couldn't be held responsible for something that wasn't your fault like

this too. my guy said there's no claims on my policy since it was third parties at fault and not me so when I get my ncb cert in the post they dont show up on it at all.

had a ncb cert sent to me this year with no incidents on it

You wouldn't be held responsible. They could choose to just not do business with you based on your levels of unfortunate non fault incidents. :)
