    Well this was unexpected!

    Image2413.jpg

    Bit of a problem here....
    Image2414.jpg

Not the right kind of negative camber
    Image2415.jpg

And the gearbox oil too :mad::mad:
    Image2416.jpg

    The problem
    Image2417.jpg

How that happened has me mystified

    A roadside repair :pac:
    Image2418.jpg

    Stupid crooked photo!!!!

    All out
    Image2419.jpg

And the tool to screw it in
    Image2420.jpg

Lots of threadlock and the same crap with the other side, we have a nice comfy drivable car again :)

    Holy Jesus! ^^

Reminds me of the time my Mother was bringing us kids to school in one of the many bangers my folks had (this is when bangers really were bangers) and the front left wheel came off turning a corner resulting in the car loudly grinding to a halt in front of all the other kids.

Embarrassing at the time for a kid but looking back bloody dangerous.

Edit: I just remembered the car. It was a yellow one of these pieces of ****!

    Simca.

Not sure I said this before dgt, but as someone who hasn't much of a notion on the mechanical side of a car, it's extremely impressive to see that your car can ''break'' like that and you can just fix it and be on your way again in under a few hours. Very very impressive, wish I could do that.

    Kudos man. :)

    GTFO BMWfanboi...:D

I'm serious, I doubt I'm the only poster who finds that deeply impressive that something like that can just be fixed for probably less than the cost of a packet of Tayto.

    Very cool.

Got my car coded today and fitted a hid Non canbus 4300k kit

Also ticked box for LED Number plate bulbs. This turned off the warning light on the dash,so no need for soldering on other bulbs or anything.

Also changed from Dims to Fogs as CH/LH

Also set Fogs as cornering lamps

    Lamps removed for fitting

Is it just me or does that look ridiculously cool without the head lights.

booringn stuff done to my car today, checked oil level, top up a bit, same with power steering, alternator belt lately was squeaky when car cold, was a bit too loose alright, tightened up. really starting love toyotas.... nothing to do on my 14 years old .... ok, there is bits, what i'd like to check or adjust or even change, but it still working, so why fix, until it is not broken.

on my last car fiat, i was busy with it very often, maybe too much, as i started hate that car. yuppp.. toyotas are reliable cars.

Few bits to do to the GP this weekend with the items that finally arrived...

    - Install new headlight beam that went yesterday
    - Fit the new silver indicator bulbs
    - Fit the new error-free reg plate LEDS
    - Fit AUX-In cable and chase to phone mount
    - Find and buy phone mount...
    - Change rear manual window regulator because its jammed / failed
    - Change pollen filter and empty leaves / dirt from AC motor
    - Hoover the fecking car and fit new exact fit car mats
    - Shampoo the seats and boot if I have the time
    - Fit air freshener (longest job to do I'd say)
    - Find a manual car wash and do obligatory before / after pics
    - Add petrol ;)
