Yes, when I got the letter telling me to enter in my bank details on the original website I registered with, I got a confirmation e-mail almost immediately..

Then about 2 weeks later, which was On the 31st they emailed me again saying that my money would come in on the 2nd, which is today...

I checked my account last night shortly after 12 and it was in.. Hope that helps..

I'm also wondering when the next payment is though, and is there a set date or what?!

I'm at the end of my tether with SUSI. I've had to apply to the assistance fund so that I can afford medication and food.

Thanks SUSI, at least with this diet I'm losing a **** ton of weight.

I was talking to SUSI on last Wednesday and they told me that a letter containing the amount of money I would be entitled to should arrived on Friday as it had been dispatched. Surprisingly enough, I didn't get the letter. I was also told that this letter should have arrived weeks ago anyway. But I was told over the phone the amount of money I would be getting so at least that's something. I am so so glad that I decided to save save save from the grant I got during my Fetac course last year. And luckily my college is only 20 minutes down the road from me so it's not like I have to pay for bills, accommodation and everything else. So I feel for the people that are in desperate need of the money. You'd think that that SUSI would be so kind to actually give us the money! They are blaming us for delaying everything. I completed my online application the very day it was open. I also sent off all the documents that were needed as soon as humanly possible and yet here I am without payment. So it isn't our fault. I wonder will it be like this next year....

I would also advise going to your local SVP

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Are people finding it is worthwhile to call SUSI at all? I don't want to waste any more credit on them but I am desperate to know what is going on! :(

The SUSI automated email response states emails will be responded to in one working day. I've sent four emails since the 10th October and have had no response?? They responded to one email I sent a while ago asking if they received my documents after I got an email from them asking for the supporting documentation. They didn't answer my question and said the email wasn't meant to be sent out to me, and then at the end asked for my FCA form which I had sent in!? So I'm left thinking did they receive them or not!? Also I'm studying in the UK, and can't get through on the number listed. Does anyone know if they have a support number for calls from the UK? Obviously I've emailed them asking this but, lo and behold, have had no response... :(

I have called them from the UK on this number 00353 761 08 7874 and had no difficulty getting through. Use SKYPE it's far cheaper.

Phoned today. Phoned last week. All I'm after is fees as I amon BTEA. However still cannot get an answer. I pplied the morning after pplications opened. I've had all the nonsense with multiple requests for documents they already had. But sent more documents anyway. Last request for docs was months ago. Final acceptance was sent months ago. Three more weeks of term left .... It's so messed up. Ridiculous system

Is the application number as per your award notification when entering bank details your usual one? I have been told that I have been awarded the grant but I won't have access to the actual letter for a while as I won't be at home!

Tip to people who have been awarded and are still awaiting payment, check with your college that they have sent off your attendence to SUSI for september, I have had my bank details in the system for the past 2 weeks and still no payment, of course SUSI wont tell us anything so i got on to my TD and he got through to SUSI who told him all they were waiting for is my college to confirm my attendence for september! Asked my college about it today and they hadnt sent my attendence and got straight on to doing so, they have to do this every month so we get paid.

    Yep.

Like you, I was in well before the deadline ( early July) and got a letter from them last week saying they needed my final course acceptance and a form with regards to my father's income. I had sent that to them with the rest of my original documents, but on the phone they said it must have been lost as they had everything accept that. I had also sent them my FCA form weeks ago, before they asked me. When I told her that, she said that it was on the system and the letter shouldn't have asked for it. I then had to write them a note saying they already had my FCA form.

A pack of jokers as we all struggle to get by. I'm going further into debt every day.

Finally received a letter today, they have agreed we are more than 45 km away. Without my local TD looking into this we wouldn't have stood a chance of getting it sorted.
The worry & stress this has caused can't be described.
Now just to wait for the payment.

Had the same fiasco with the course acceptance form at the end of september. Sent it back. Got home last week to see a letter wanting ALL the documents back again. Sent these on. They asked for stupid things like details of other financial assistance. I had clearly indicated on my application that I didn't get any other financial assistance. So annoyed.

To the LUCKY people who are getting payments in to their bank accounts, did the SUSI contact you to get your bank details etc?

Hi. Just to clarify, all applicants that have been awarded will receive an awarded letter, outlining their award and instructions on how to submit bank account details online, if maintenance payments are applicable.

The bank must be one of the following: Bank of Ireland, AIB, Permanet TSB, Ulster Bank, EBS or National Irish Bank. Note the bank branch must be in the Republic of Ireland.
