    :)

    Moving on....

    Could this fit the bill?
    NCT July 14, 4950

Seems to be well specced out and looked after, possibly get it for even less

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,978 ✭✭✭✭dgt

I don't know how much tax you want to pay a year. Plenty of E320s for peanuts

Hmmmmm it's hard to find an auto Accord..... Maybe I'm not looking in the right places though :(

    NCT till Jan, 4000

Possibly worth a look? Seems quite cheap...

Got new bulbs for the headlights (dims) on my car today, they were shockingly dim (ahem:o) got halfords super duper extra bright bulbs, and yes Im a lazy baxtard so I got them fitted aswell:D
Ill find out later on if they are any better.

Btw, these bulbs are 2 for 1 at the moment if anyone is thinking of getting some, normally €35 each
I put them into my DC2, the difference was unreal over standard jobbies

Is that e220 really considered cheap? 2003, mega miles and highish tax. I would have thought it should be cheaper than that. Depends on its history of course, but still.

I'll be heading in to tax my car tomorrow, other than a wad of cash what do I have to bring in with me?

Maybe you should have gone to specsavers instead of halfords then

Insurance cert, nct cert. If not the cert then the policy/certificate numbers and expiry dates

Have you not done it before?

Now the gtv lights were wicked, well known for being appalling, but the difference with the superbrights is amazing.

You know what happens when you use monkeys right?

I got a superb quote from quoteme.ie if it's any use. Got a massively reduced premium with Aviva through them. :)

My no claims confuses me, I get a 75% discount from Axa which is five years no claims but I've two claims on the policy, one for a windscreen and one I paid myself.

Do I put in five years or two (last claim)

Online quote machines are always a bit dodgy, maybe give them a ring in the morning to know for definite? I'd imagine you'd still have 5 years no claims though, I can't imagine that a new windscreen would null and void 3 years no claims.

    Could well be wrong though.

If your ncb cert says five then it's five..... The one you paid yourself should be put down as an at fault with 0 paid.....

It says discount 75% then last claim 2010, I've to get them to sort out that one I paid, hence the confusion :)

Even if you paid for it, it still happened and is still required to be disclosed.

I assume you were at fault in an accident and paid the third party costs?

Yeah, it was a very minor tip, the cost of the damage was 175 euro, literally scraped another persons car at very low speed :)

Anyway here is what my ncb says
Actual number of years without a claim on this policy:2 year(s)
Percentage discount (including amounts allowed for named driving experience,
    acceleration or step-back):75%
Value of NCD (the premium for fire and theft cover does not have a discount):€1226.56
Our NCD scale point (including amounts allowed for named driving experience,
    acceleration or step-back): 5
Number of recorded claims in last 5 years: 2

The other claim was a windscreen which I paid for cover wise as part of the policy

How would other insurers treat the above? Would they see it as five years?

The awkward moment when you go around this corner to find an artic on your side of the road, doing goodness knows what, coming towards you.

No abs, no nice flat grassy run off zone. I don't know how it didn't wreck the car.

I need a change of underwear though and maybe a new drivers seat :(

No I'm seriously allergic to people I don't know touching me, I've a colleague who is a toucher/kisser who makes me shudder.

Only hug the OH make him breakfast in bed etc, and only as I wake him up every morning two hours earlier than he needs :D He does the honours at the weekends :)
I'm a happy feminist I work in IT with a pile of blokes, they've trained me well :D
    I'm a grumpy cow though :)

EHIC is a European Health Insurance card, means if you need medical treatment in the EU you get it for the same cost as the residents in any EU country, I don't have one and had an accident away with work, got it sorted in the end, but with the EHIC I'd have been fine

I know you always think it wouldn't happen to you, but handy to have, and free to apply for?
