    That tuner is indeed interesting.

Ireland are actually ahead of the curve for once in regards the digital telly, the Brits will be behind the rest of Europe.

I would have thought bmw would have given an mpeg4 tuner , the only progressive thing that we do and its a bítch to work around

BMW introduced the digital tuner around 10 years ago in the E46 for example. By that time only MPEG2 was planned for DVB-T in the countries, that it had been deployed (Germany, UK, etc.)

By the time, that MPEG4 was added, the BMWs using that type of tuner where out of production and later models don't use iBus. Hence there's no MPEG4 capable tuner for iBus from BMW.

The reason Ireland only gets MPEG4, is because the govt a) are cheapskates, b) wouldn't have gone digital at all, unless they had been forced. The reason why the deployment came so late.

Yup, no note left. Happened in the tesco car park, wouldn't mind but I parked at the back far from any other cars and come back ten minutes later to this! Will see how presentable I can make it tomorrow, and looking at that picture the car needs a serious wash and wax!

started to replace the cv boot's in my fiesta after a failed nct, have 3 of my cars going in for an nct this month, should have spread them out but wasn't thinking.

Fitted a second Bag holder in the boot.
Washed and waxed it while I was in the mood for it. Dressed the tyres and gave the wheels another coat of Collie 845.
Damnit while I was at it I cleaned all the windows and treated them with RainX.
Treated the seats to a coats of Gliptone Leather conditioner.

Enough for one day I think :)

You hardly think anything like that has been done before it was sold?

Very often, new cars have swirl marks on them right out of the factory.

    Knew you'd say that...:D

Vectra should have bought a manky old 740i and restored it to original finish or better than when it came out of the factory...:p

Scotch locks! The absolute bane of my life & the Japanese seem to love them! There were gauges wired off them and the connection was crap causing them to loose power

    k0p00.jpg

    The offenders all taken out

    2ll26j4.jpg

Wires soldered where needed and taped back together, neatness again and gauges spot on!

    28upx90.jpg

Moral of the story? Scotchlocks are crap dont use them!

One could change the plates on the previous car to 12 and sell it as a demo! The next owner will be getting a spotless car alright!

Walked past a brand new Evoque yesterday. Black in colour and it could pass for being a year or two old the paint was in that bad a condition. Shocking so it is.
