Don't know. It whistles up alright so it's spinning alright. And if it's spinning it's blowing....

But, foot to the floor, the only thing it does is make the engine louder. The boost never cuts in. Starts fine. Idles fine. Pulls at low RPM the same as always. It never smokes. It never misfires. There's no idiot lights on the dash. it's just down on power.... like it's only going to half-throttle or something.

Or it's not adding the fuel to match the boost.

Check the intercooler pipes so, they may have split

Either you've got a hole on your EGR pipe, it's broken or your wastegate is stuck in open position.

The first 2 should be easy enough to check. They should also result in loud engine noises.

Well. And the other thing is the intercooler pipes, like dgt pointed out.

    /M

Come to think of it, it is a bit more 'dieselly' if that makes sense. Thought it was just because I had to cane it to keep up with traffic.

I've looked under the bonnet though and nothing seems amis. A lot of the turbo/manifold/induction bits are between the block and the bulkhead so getting in at it's a bitch.

It only started running slow after that night of heavy driving rain.

Planning to give a mechanic a call tomorrow. But I need it to get to work.

Edit: One more Odd thing. The Fuel economy around town has improved, once it's gotten up to speed.

Civic 1.8 iVTEC ES 5door (the one with the glass roof and triangley exhausts)

Father has the exact same car, nice to drive, find it awkward to judge where the front is, not a prob because it isn't long but there is a bit of guess work,

1.8 is a very capable engine, best of luck with it,

Not at all, she's trying to insert it into a certain place and see if she can sit and spin and undo the bolts :pac:

Same crack with Kilmessan, can't leave the centre of it without using a bridge... At least there's no railway line there, except as crash barriers :pac::pac::pac:

Kilmessan? You blink driving through Kilmessan and you miss it.

Also why is that hotel down there called The Station House if no train goes near it?

Been drooling over this all morning. It does look very clean and it's just so cheap it has to sell. Were it me and I had the funds/means I'd go with €5k cash and hope to get a bargain, tax it for 6 months and still have spent less than €6k. Then just waft around in comfort and power...

    Beautiful car.

One step closer to selling the Poloooooo...

Had a mechanic come look at it for a seller today, he said it was a gem. Here's hoping.

Best of luck with the sale Alan! No doubt the cash will fund quite a few mods! Maybe even an alloy refurb :P

Was on teh phone with Renault earlier today to book the car in.

I'll say one thing. Their customer service people are great. When my phone cut out thanks to low credit, they rang me right back. Tried to transfer me to a garage that could handle the issue. And then had the garage itself call me to arrange things, within ten minutes of me hanging up rather than waiting all day.

Going to hopefully see what the problem is on Tuesday.
