I don't blame punk for it. The dude with the glasses arm did touch punks head for sure. I know there were other people around him too acting the bollox but come on, he can't see everything and know every moment of the crowd in the first place. Where were security to follow him? Does punch actually connect with the guys face or the guys arm?

I can't see this being too big, but I really hope it doesn't affect his current standing. Last nights promo on Vince was excellent and the match. Punks heel turn and reign has been quite enjoyable to watch.

First backhand hit him across the face and knocked his glasses. It wasn't particularly hard but he hit him with a follow up to the chin after that which flattened him.

Didn't Metta World Peace attack the wrong fan in his infamous brawl?

Probably the best raw in ages, helps when the crowd is into it.Would have been much better if raw was still 2 hours

..fair play to McMahon, he came across like a real bad ass, his leap over the announce table. It was awesome. was on my feet watching it.Proper mark out, been a while.

as for the incident, itooks like the guy in the grey actually pushes the other guys arm into punks head.If this is so, that is fecking hilarious!

I love seeing fans get decked.Punk shouldn't have done it but it was funny as hell, hope he doesnt get screwed over cos of it.Little fine and an apology should do it.

    I'm watching this now.

I creased myself laughing when punk said "you mad?" :D

It might have been okay if Punk hadn't thrown the follow up punch. Otherwise, I can see why he did it.

Just rewatched that part and when it happens, Vince stops talking but that could be just to let the Ryaback announcement settle in before he says "Or John Cena"

Fair play to Punk, might teach these idiot's that there's consequences for their actions.

Stupid eejit will probably accept a garbage bag full of popcorn and a few DVD's as a settlement anyways.

Maybe Punk can sue that guy, since he admits to punching Punk :S

The little bollix in the Lesnar Shirt was a big instigator, pity this happened on Raw, on Smackdown they could have a do over.

    Ryback's clothesline was epic.

Only heard about this now. It may have been in the heat of the moment, but it could have ignited more violence in the stands. What if the guy with the sunglasses fought back, or was with a few mates who decided to lay into punk through retaliation?

Really unprofessional from punk. He should have more control over his temper than that.

The fan who got clocked by Punk

He doesn't seem too angry. Maybe Punk will escape a court case/settlement...

I think it'll blow over pretty quick. I see a WWE rep was quoted by TMZ pointing out that Punk was hit in the back and the kidney but that he apologised for reacting in the heat of the moment. Seems fair enough, the major mistake was hitting the wrong guy.

From the footage I've seen the guy he hit video, the kid in the Lesnar shirt and the guy in the grey shirt all pushed Punk at some point! Yes it was un-professional but in fairness he almost fell down the stairs because of three people pushing him!

Here's the video with the best view (Don't know if it's been posted already)

More or less! Like you don't see people pushing Cena down the steps when he's been "Fired" and he comes through the crowd!

Have to defend Punk: if you're in a situation with a crowd surrounding you, especially if your job is to antagonise them, and you're in any danger then you have to act. This checks out from both a wrestler's perspective and from working in crowd control too. I think it was Eddie Guerrero who wrote about it in his book.

Basically, if you start taking **** from a crowd it only escalates when idiots realise what they can get away with (and their idiocy will be brought out even moreso by just being in the 'safety' of a crowd). So you have to stamp it out immediately.

Had to laugh at Vince's jaw dropping, though, as he saw a lawsuit materialise while in the middle of a promo on live television.

As a person who has always stood up and defended myself when the time needed it, this has made me respect and like Punk more.

How many people here in their place of work would let someone punch them in the kidney and slap them in the back of the head and not retaliate? Very very few would be my guess.

Yes he got the wrong person but he had his back to the person that did it and could not see who it was. I know I would have done the exact same thing given the situation.
