clutching at my bangernomics straws here with that price tag. But 2.5 months tax, 9 months test, recently had a timing belt, and day to day running costs would be very little id say.

this is a 2005 140 bhp A4 diesel - is the mileage a bit low for such a car?

Far from bangernomics. You should be getting 3 or 4 bangernomics cars for that money.

    Milage seems realistic enough though.

another wild card here, 99 1.4 civic, 20 minutes tax and a bit of test, recent service and clutch kit, looking very fresh for a civic hatch, i'd imagine you could scrape more off that price too.

the catch is (i asume) its not starting due to an immobiliser issue. obviously not everybodys bangernomics bargain but to someone in "the know" it might be a simple fix.

    definitely not bangernomics...

would certainly make a nice light resto project to the right person though.

wouldn't hold my breath for a sale all the same. cool car, perfect rat look candidate :pac:

I see them asking a fair bit though if it was mint, obviously I would be prepared to take less but I taught that price would reflect its condition?

ah yeah, the layout of the add looks good as do the pics and the price (knowing little on classic mercs) seems fair too :)

good attempt for what it is, i'm just saying that its not going to be a popular buy regardless unfortunately.

I think your price isn't too bad, but have you considered putting it through the NCT? With a fail sheet, a potential buyer would know what they are looking at to get it roadworthy. If nothing too bad shows up, the value of the car could double!

And you might as well mention in your ad that come next year the car qualifies for classic motor tax - €52 per year. Not bad for a 200BHP 2.8 six pot automatic big saloon. According to some, the best saloon ever made :)

15,000 miles a year sounds fine. The price however seems a bit too low for a B7 A4 2.0TDI.

    Bit of Tax
    6 months test
    No mention of belt.

If ya could pick it up for closer to a grand be a decent buy.

    Looks well looked after.

That primera is not a bangernomic to me as its got one of the worst diesel engines to come out of japan.

apparently not only engines, gearbox, electrics and suspension seems to be big problems too. Overall this is the most problematic car in universe now. So many poor souls bash Alfa Romeo and Fiat cars but don't mind driving this piece of shyte. :pac:

Agreed, and a prime example of why you cannot go by make any more, its the model you have to look at.

This looked good as it's taxed until 6/13, but have looked up the rate (€88) it's actually taxed as a hackney/taxi...

You'll defo get the guts of that asking price if you're patient. As mentioned, the cheap tax from next year on is a big plus.

It is the first honest ad i seen this year. The seller did use the word "possible" twice, but at least had the balls to admit there are some "possible" problems with the car.
Could use "did fly through nct", but choose not to.
I appreciate that, hope he sells it, despite being honest.

Quite likely been above 90 degs more than once imo, he wouldn't know "possibly requires a new radiator fan resistor" otherwise me thinks. Asking price is ambitious if it was issue free.
