    Is McCoist 'unsackable'??
He stood strong during the whole administration/liquidation process.
He said that he won't be walking away.
He was a rangers (1872-2012) legend and is the first and so far only manager of the new company/club.
He owns a 6% share in the company.

So is he unsackable? not that yous would want to get rid of him of course.

No, I don't think he is unsackable. If he failed to get us promoted this year then he'd be straight out the door. He is a Rangers legend, and that will never change, regardless of how his managerial career goes at us, his playing days and his goals for our club ensured that.

He doesn't own any of the company yet, well last week he didn't anyway when asked about it, the media put two and two together after Green said the option was there for him to buy into the club if he wanted.

McCoist I believe is unsackable in the sense that managing to not get promoted from that league with the players and money he has at his disposal is impossible

Only if he fails to get promoted can his position be called into doubt

It would represent a massive problem for green though IMO, as mccoists value to green doesn't lye in his managerial ability but in his status as a rangers legend and his ability to keep the fans on greens side, and hence putting money into the club through his backing of green.

In this sense, McCoist is probably greens best option, unless he wants to go all out and appoint someone like andy goram, gazza or andy goram (sorry couldn't help myself), as any non-rangers man being appointed is likely to arouse suspicion given ithe sensitivity of the fans and their suspicion of the owners

As I said on here previously, his position isn't all that dissimilar to lennons. Anything but winning the league is a failure and rightfully should lead to questions over their positions

I heard Green is already getting tired of the bad football and the constant excuses.

So no, he is not unsackable.

Alexander just saved them at the end, The Rangers certainly don't look out of place in the 3rd Division. McCoist needs to sort this team out.

    Penalties now.

Oh what a night, loved watching Man City getting beaten in the last minute and then I just switched over to to BBC Alba to catch the penalty shoot out. PMSL here :D

The visiting Queens support is treated to chants of "You're only here to see the Rangers". They reply with: "You're not Rangers anymore."

    :D

    Enjoyed that

Her Majesty's revenge, Queen of the South through.

So nearly an upset by the plucky Division 3 team over the Division 2 leaders.

Sure if you believe the fans of TCFKAR they'll tell you it's all one big adventure... far preferable to globe trotting round Europe mixing it with the elite in the CL!

Ah but look at the tension in the video below. They were biting their nails during the last penalty. You won't get that level of excitement in the CL.

Glad to see you all enjoy watching a club you are not interested in (supposedly) ;)

This was coming, we have hardly had any game where we really dominated.

Green will lose patience with McCoist soon enough.

Rangers will be turning in their grave after that result! :)

Why would I be a good sport to idiots ?

I have no problem admitting that QotS deserved that, but the fact that you lot have nothing better to do than come in here to joke shows you up for what you are.

Erm, I'd check that again if I were you.

I post there sometimes when it concerns Rangers, but not much else.
As opposed to certain other people.

Obsessed is an understatement! What happened to Rangers being an insignificant third division team?

    Dean Shiels is a disgrace.

Stevie O'Reilly is a wanker, how he can justify some of his decisions tonight I don't know

Good to see the Celtic fans keeping up their usual classy image:

Youth player at Dunfermline, I guess he might need to look for a new club soon.

How are those disgusting tweets keeping up the "usual classy image" of Celtic fans out of interest? Are you really suggesting that attitude is representative of Celtic fans?

Jelle is finally showing his true colours here...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Because he's not the first, and definitely not the last.

Templeton (a Celtic fan, by the way) has received tons of abuse from Celtic fans since signing for Rangers.
Not just him, but for example McCoist's son, Templeton's girlfriend,... too.

edit: Ha, showing my colours ?
    I don't think I ever hid them.

But yeah, deflect from it, why don't you.

And why don't you just keep deflecting from tonights score ;)
You said twice now that Green will be getting sick of McCoist (or words to that effect), are you sick of him or would you like to see him stay??
