Making up a punishment before there is a verdict, that's all ok I assume ?
Of course it's wrong they tried to use what ye did as a mechanism to propel greens team into the first division. It will also be interesting to see if anyone within the Scottish football authorities will be shown to have a personal interest in avoiding a full enquiry.

Example punishments are predefined but Lord Glennie forced a tribunal to only use only those examples based on a technicality before. Maybe Rangers fans & Charles Green will be crying out for Lord Nimmos interpretation of the law & SPL rules by the time this starts proper!

Campbell Ogilvie has a clear conflict of interest, i.e. Ranger's club secretary during the EBT era & received an EBT and is currently the SFA president. Any attempts by the SFA to derail the SPL commission will be coming from him or one of his cronies.

Montrose at home tomorrow, we need a result and performance to give a bit of positivity before Motherwell on Wednesday. I would drop Perry and Shiels but Ally won't. I think it might be...

    Alexander

    Argyriou
    Perry
    Emilson
    Wallace

    McLeod
    Black

    Shiels
    McKay
    Naismith

    McCulloch

    1-0 Shiels :)

Listening to the game on Radio Scotland now. We need to be killing teams like this.

    It's Montrose FFS!

Watching it on a link to be honest we have been all over them a combination of poor finishing and good defending is holding us back

Listening to that bawbag Stephen Craigan with his so-called 'punditry' isn't helping either.

    Prick.

    What a dull, sticky first-half.

Come on the Rangers... three points required for Alistair McCoist's 50th birthday!

    Goal! 2-1. Lewis McLeod

    :)

    Rack them up now, Rangers!

Big Lee has just made it three. Hurrah!

Young substitute Robbie Crawford scored a cracking goal there. 4-1.

Incidentally, today's Ibrox attendance for a Third Division game?

45,081 - eclipsing 41,073 of the greatest fans in the world at Celtic Park yesterday. Which is nice.

Anyway, good result, but that first half was horrible.
Questions have to be asked regarding some players.

For me there is a lack of confidence among the players funnily enough its the more experienced ones. They are the ones that need to take a good long hard look at themselves

Sure is impressive that these fans are showing more interest in supporting The Rangers in the 3rd Division than they were in supporting Rangers in the Champions League qualifier / Europa League qualifier / Scottish Cup Quarter final vs Dundee Utd last season where not even half of yesterdays number turned up.

I wonder have they all turned a new leaf or might it have something to do with the novelty of the situation?

To be honest it makes no difference to most bears. I feel a lot of us are just happy we still have a club after many years of misuse and I believe criminal behaviour by the previous caretakers.

Considering that this is comparing apples and oranges. Rangers have a large support and when they are charging ticket prices that are less than half the price of an SPL game, well then you can see why they have large crowds at Ibrox. The vast majority of people who go to Ibrox now are spending a lot less on attending their football. Also consider that Celtic are still charging SPL prices together with CL prices. It is very clear that those fans who go to Celtic Park are putting more money into the club than the fans who go to Ibrox which is to be expected.

It also should be noted that the game on Saturday would have been against Rangers had they not reneged on their tax commitments therefore the game was not open to anyone who has a concession season ticket at Celtic, ie the season ticket that would not have included the Rangers games as Celtic gave Rangers 7k-8k seats which includes a lot of seats of those season tickets. This happens to be the area that someone posted a photo of the crowd

Look I am not really interested in how many go to parkead and how many don't I was merely answering Pompey's question. As for what would have happened its pointless things are the way they are nothing changes that

Yeah and my post is aimed at those Rangers fans who are interested as illustrated in the posts above. I would be confident in believing that Jelle knew that the part of the stadium that was once given over to Rangers was the bit in his picture when he states '41,073 my arse' and then shows the most sparsely populated bit of the stadium.

Husband was at the game on Saturday, he reckons 41,000 was a fair estimate - Jelle is becoming a tad obsessed with crowd figures at Parkhead(especially on a Rangers thread);) Besides it's a bank holiday in Glasgow this weekend a lot of folk were away somewhere sunny (or over by for the Donegal v Mayo final )!

Really areyou going to use the all Ireland as an excuse. I have made my feelings clear on this but thats just silly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,501 ✭✭✭Madam

Not really an excuse, just a wee aside:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,958 ✭✭✭Mr_Spaceman

Seems a few of the greatest fans in the world are scrambling around for excuses.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,075 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

Seems a couple of fans of the 3rd Divison outfit need to scramble around to compare themselves to TGFITW at every opportunity

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Also seems as though a few of the so called TGFITW feel the need to come in and talk about a third division team ;)
