We've explained several times how your logic is bigoted. We've shown you evidence that shows that your position is wrong, but you dismissed it all as wrong for no other reason than you didn't like what you saw.

I don't think any same sex parents are going to bring thei child up in total ignorance of other family units. Those who grew up in those environments would be better suited to address this but there's a lot to be said for sitting down and explaining things to to a child.

It applies both ways. A lack of a nurturing mother or a protective father is made no less a lack by the cause of that lack. I know you can't help it, I just disagree with you.

Common sense, isn't that common. But let's run with what you regard as common sense. You are I presume Irish. Ireland has a population of less than five million people. How many of these people have you met? 1 million? Less? Probably lucky if you met over 200,000 people. The world has over 6 billion people. So, on what basis is your lone experience of a tiny proportion of people's parenting ever going to be enough to say this is the case everywhere. Do you think observing the height of high tide in Salthill is going to tell you the height of high tide in all of Ireland? Never mind the World.

You see the thing about scientific studies done into gay parenting is that they use statistical techniques to try to ensure (they can never guarantee) that their sample size accurately reflects as best they can the type of population they're trying to model. It's a very tricky detail to cover but most papers won't get published unless they account for it somehow. Referring back to the tide analogy again : these techniques allow us to guess the height of the tides of at various locales around Ireland to various degrees. But what they allows us to predict with a very high degree accuracy is the average height of tide in the country.

So when you tell me that your common sense tells you something. You're basically asking me to accept your combined total of limited experience which accounts for <1% of the western's world's population over the strenuous studies done by people with expertise in areas from psychology to sociology that do their utmost to accurately reflect the 100%. Or in others words you're trying to get me to accept that the high tide at Salthill is the equivalent of high tide everywhere else in Ireland. I'm sorry, bud but arguing from common sense just ain't going to cut it.

You depend solely on your opinion as evidence and are unwilling to reconsider it. If you think that a group of people in society should have their rights limited but have no legitimate reasons on why. That makes you bigoted plus the generalisations about the dreaded gay community reinforce this. of A good proportion of people posting in this topic are not gay btw, this includes myself. We simply believe that people should be afforded equal rights.

From all the straight people presumably. The total number of straight people engaging in sodomy is far higher than the total number of gay people engaging in sodomy. To be honest, I think the only answer is to outlaw straight marriage

Gays live in a twilight area of life and reality is simply too much .A lot of them suffer from torn Anuses and can be seen buying preparations like Vaseline and different balms .They are a disgusting and now they want children and to trash the time tested institution of Marriage . It's not bigotry it's common sense that they should'nt be allowed either .

Civil union is not equal to marriage. The children of gay couples are bullied anymore than the child of a straight couple (trust me).
The only thing different between a homosexual and heterosexual is the sexual attraction and the gender of the person you fall in love with.
