Ah its not that bad. Few genuinely funny bits few cringey bits swell but compared to something like Matty it looks like Flight of the conchords. Impressed with Coogans accent aswell

Just started watching it, seems pretty good. Had seen the ads and thought it looked terrible.

Coincidentally, Mary Robinson is being interviewed on the Late Late right now.

Hmmm just switched to this by accident and found it quite enjoyable. 2nd episode was the better one and Steve Coogan was brilliant!

Some of it was quite derivative, Grange Hill theme tune straight from "Spaced" but I thought overall it was pretty damn good. Steve Coogan was great, can do no wrong in my book anyway, thought the kid playing Martin Moone was really good.

    Yeah, will keep watching.

Only saw the first episode but I thought it was really good. I wouldn't call it unmissable TV but very much worth watching if you happen to be around when its on. I presume it will be repeated umpteen times so I can watch the second episode.

I thought the second episode was much better.

I remember the Mary campaign for real. Not too far off the mark. I'll be back for more next week. A pleasant surprise-I was expecting crap.

NOT A FAN OF THE 'COMEDY WITH SERIOUS BITS' esp time given to the Mary speech at the end (funny enough i switched to the LLS to see the same baul Mary speiling)

Kid is fine, Coogan a great surprise, like O' Dowd, but

    WHERE'S THE FUNNY????

    Where? where is it hidden?

DONT TELL ME THERE'S A 'NEW COMEDY' ON, AND THEN TRY TO SLIP ME A COMEDY DRAMA!!!!

Loved it being remembered those days. Voted for Mary Robinson. The whole era perfectly observed. Steve Coogan was brilliant, never rated him before. But his Irish accent is perfect and his performance too.

Chris O'Dowd is a find. He is a comic genius.

Loads of laughs from me and I'm an old cynic.

Great little comedy I thought. Can understand why Sky have already commissioned a second series, can definitely detect that Linehan influence which is to be expected considering O'Dowd's past experience.

Only was able to watch the first few minutes of the second episode though, so still have that to look forward to at some point.

really disappointed. The main boy lad is a really bad. There is some decent one liners.

very decent cast and it just comes across that they were wasted. maybe it will get better but when they main actor is such a blank it is hard to see it to be honest.

Coogan was class. the father is good. so is o'kane in fairness to her.

For an Irish comedy it's an actually a comedy. It made me laugh!
