Click my finances, go to the pre registration thing (its the second option). Read through the thing, tick 'I do' and continue. There's some other stuff then about whether or not this is your first undergraduate degree (I said no). Then a page about sponsorships (not sure what these are, could be to do with grants but not sure as I don't have one). I just clicked continue on that page without doing anything.

Work through it and then when you're done go back to the bill and the tuition fees should be gone at least. Not sure about how the grants work though!

yano the way in the pre-registration part where it asks about the sponsorship/grant and it asks about percentage or amount, how do you know whether it's 100% or 50%?

Its 100% for everyone, maintenance varies which is a different story.

Give it a while and you'll receive a message in your TCD inbox saying your fees have been adjusted according or something like that. Your bill will then be minus the tuition fees.

Do you qualify for Free Fees or EU rate of Fee? If you qualify for Free Fees then SUSI will cover the rest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,305 ✭✭✭Chuchoter

Free fees, should end up being just the student contribution and sports centre/su stuff by the end I hope.

Since you qualify for Free Fees then dont worry, you re grand. It will be sorted out on SUSI approve your application.

Just spoke with someone in student fee section of treasurers office and ..... fees for new undergrads are due 1st of Sept. He said there's a little 'wiggle room' to accommodate transfers etc and because of the new system. But basically if you are a new undergrad ... pay asap!!

You can pay online or via electronic fund transfer from your bank - however as it will take a few days to process, you really need to be doing it today.

I also asked about the SUSI sponsorship. You have to click on finance tab in mytcd.ie and enter details under sponsorship. Make sure to enter your SUSI application number, 100% and then complete the entry. It takes a while to update your fee payment form then.

THEN you will only need to pay the €85 (gym fee and levy) today. And if the SUSI application is unsuccessful TCD will issue a new invoice which you will have to pay. And there is no 'late payment fee' if this happens.

    Hope this helps

    ^^^ Thanks, very helpful

I'm being told to pay 7,089.00 in "tuition" + the 2,250.00 "student contribution" or so with the total coming to about 9,424.00. Anyone else getting this number?

My fee status is "EU" for some reason, anyone at all getting this issue?

Also, anyone have the billing department phone so I can call up and resolve this, have not been able to find it myself

So i'm about to go and wont have access to a Computer until Tomorrow evening, I want to pay now and have pre registered at 10 this morning but it's still coming up as a circa 6 grand fee, whats the story with that ****e ?

    TCD Dentistry

    Did you pre-register?
Click the finance tab and follow the process for pre-registration. They ask you to declare your eligibility for EU fees. Complete the process and give it about 30min to update itself. Then your fee payment form should reflect the changes and only charge the student fee. Hope this helps.

I did that yes, not sure if it's been 30 mins, although the grant information has been updated,

I'm also afraid that I clicked "no" when asked if this was my first undergrad degree and it now appears that I cannot go and change it, stupid of me I know :(

    Anyway to change that?

I got sent this in an email:

    REGISTRATION INFORMATION
In response to concerns raised by students, we have received clarification from College on the new registration process. Bills are being issued to students on a phased basis via email. Bills can be paid online at my.tcd.ie. You must pay your bill (student levies and student contribution charge) before you register (i.e. before you pick up your student card). The original payment deadline of September 1st has been relaxed as students were not given sufficient notice. We would advise students to pay their bill before the teaching term begins on 24th of September.

Did no one else get the same thing as I did?:l

I must've pre-registered like 20 times yesterday and today, but every time I go to check on the fees it says 'No records found' under the 'Fees Due' and it tells me I need to pay €0.00

I emailed them and everything, but so far no response..

Good to know that the deadline has been moved back, otherwise I'd be pulling my hair out.

I'd keep quiet and just turn up to class if I were you, not your fault it says €0.00..
