They offer a delivery service themselves. If your stuff costs less than €250 they'll deliver it to you next day for €35.

Free delivery over €250? Do they loan out flatpack builders? :D

No it gets more expensive the more items you have.

They can call out and build it for you too but that costs extra aswell.

Still waiting for delivery of my stuff... hope it arrives soon as I want to have the room sorted out and clean and tidy by later tonight.

Just picked up two Gameboy Micro systems, boxed!
Outer sleeves aren't great but the systems and packaging are perfect!
Stuck them up on Adverts as I already own one.
Might see if I can get a Famicom. On trade for one of them!

I also picked up the following,
Gacha Mecha Stadium Saru Battle, otherwise known as Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed for the PS2.

Is that the going price for micros now? Pity the outer sleeves are tatty.

It is a pity and I figure I have to open the price somewhere.
People are free to make offers.
I would prefer the elusive Famicom in trade tbh but that seems to be a challenge.

Unboxed Gameboy Micros in a used condition (read marks on the casing and screen) are going for between 60 and 100 euro at the mo on ebay.
Regardless of the condition of the outer sleeves, these are in perfect nick and, hence, a reasonable €70 each.

Gone up a bit in price so. I'm tempted to get one of yours, I like the blue more than the green or pink.
Only interested in trade for famicom? Anything else?

Just had a look on ebay myself as a matter of interest - the price really varies wildly for them!

People are paying between about 40 euro and 100 euro for boxed ones. I think 70 is a fair price to be honest.

    Don't know!
Make a suggestion in the A&R trading forum and we'll see!

I see the author reckons the AGS-101 is getting $300 online.
This must be for a boxed one because I got mine for less than €60.
    An awesome device though.

I just looked at Famicom Micro's on Ebay but what's a normal price for a new one ?
I see two advertised, one for € 250,- and one over € 300,-

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,753 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

Well, if anyone wants to throw that sort of money at me I'm game!

But, seriously, the Famicom edition is worth quite a bit of money, that said, they are all getting rarer now.

I would expect to pay €40 for an unboxed one in reasonable condition.

It seems to be the most desirable one out of the lot of them. There's a player 2 version faceplate which is worth more.

I think my one came in about 40 euro or so, but it has some scuffs.

My lovely Gradius Gaiden arrived this morning, looking forward to playing it later!
I must pick up the Nes titles as well as the GB games. The GBA Gradius Collection is pretty nice too, I've played it via flash cart and it's pretty good.
Have to get Salmonhamburger as well, then that'll be set.

Got "Cold Winter" for the PS2 based on a very loose recommendation by Ciderman in an earlier thread.

Lets hope it doesn't suck ass.

It's a recommendation for a FPS from ciderman, of course it will.

Only joking, it's a very good for a PS2 FPS, just don't expect anything too earth shattering.

    Now, that's just trolling now!
It's a good game but if you listen to Retr0 that'll just confirm it to be a game with a high suckage quotient!
Actually it plays like Goldeneye but with better visuals.
Given what Goldeneye looks like, this may not be a major recommendation ;)
But, taking into account the limitations of the hardware, it's good stuff, long too, none of your 5 hour Modern Warfare bull here!

Based on his love of all things Harry Potter, I'll be avoiding Cidermans recommendations :p

You'll probably like Cold Winter but whatever you do don't go near Fire Warrior. Unless you want something in the 'so bad it's good' category. The voice acting is hilariously bad. The big problem is you have to play the game in between them.

Just got me a boxed NES and with it went the last of my summer get funds and that's means so 3D0 for a least a year. I'm an awful magpie with regards to my gets.

    Summer 2012 Gets list:
    Bixed US Snes
    Boxed NES
Zelda 3ds edition and a loads of games
About 10-12 boxed Snes games all fairly mint
    Paper Mario N64 boxed
    Boxes new ps1
    Few megadrive games
And I nearly forgot but a neo geo aes with a little brother in height stack of games.

Not too bad but there's a barren wasteland devoid of gets for the next few months. :(

My bad, should have kept both ps1's (Steve-style), you might have been able to afford that 3DO

Ok so this isn't how the final setup will look, this was more just a placement of things to see how the unit looked over all.

Now to test this fully armed and operational entertainment station!

    376926_4634870392557_694559981_n.jpg

Anyway the final unit will have the following changes:
router and modem mounted to the back panel to keep them out of the way along with a few plug sockets and a scart switcher.

All cables will be routed along the back of the shelves using cable tacks to keep them out of view of the main unit.

I forsee a purchase of a mountain of cable extenders in my future...

Very nice. But don't expect your 360 & PS3 to last very long if used where they are

That was more me just seeing what space was available to be honest, the layout in that picture is more than likely going to be far from the final layout. I hear what you're saying though you're not the first person to say to me that they'll fry if I leave them there.

Nothing is actually hooked up to the TV or power in that picture apart from the TV and hi-fi that I'm using for sound as the built in speakers on that TV suck balls.

Nice setup, now get rid of that LCD and get a great stonking beast of a CRT in there :D

Also, in regards to the 360 location:

Dont worry lads if the 360 dies I have about 4 spares of everything that's in the console in my RROD repair days of unemployment.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,753 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

There is no way the 360 and PS3 are going to get enough ventilation there,
swap the N64 for the PS3 and 360, both consoles sitting on their ends, perhaps drill some ventilation holes in the surface beneath them.
As said already, those things are going to cook if left where they are, even if you only use them as media players.

Lads the machines don't even have any cables in them sitting where they are, this was just me seeing what the unit was like there's still alot of work to actually do with this.

I appreciate all the advise but trust me I'm not leaving everything where it currently is. :-)
