Not enough lol pics could convey my feelings when someone says Gerrard is a CM. He'll always be an AM, and a better RW than CM when it comes to club football most certainly.

For an ultra defensive set up under Woy is a different matter all together.

As levia said Gerrard isn't a CM. Which starting line up?

I think its nit picking. By CM I refer to a central player, either CM, AMC, or his best position in the hole behind the striker. He has been used on the left or right midfield but to say he is a RW doesn't make sense. The starting lineup against West Brom?

He'll be asked to start on the right but he'll be given the freedom to drift. He wouldn't be given that in the middle of a 3 man midfield. I never said he's a RW, I said he'll line up there. Rodgers won't want Gerrard anywhere near his midfield if he can help it, Sahin would allow him to take Gerrard out of there. Sahin wasn't playing for us against West Brom so can't really take much notice of that. Altough Borini started on the left in that match.

Who am I to question it. Spain can play with no strikers, I'm sure Liverpool can play with no wingers.

TBh, we've been doing it for years.

Haven't had a winger worth talking about since Mcmanaman.

    Wtf?

Macmanaman was more a free role player than an out an out winger....of all my lfc related posts thats the one you get p*ssy about!?

    Relax.

I thought this thread was all about new signings, and not about bitching, arguing and discussing positions of people long gone. Can we not keep it just on Topic? I am sure there are loads of people who have no interest at all into all the off topic stuff.

Most people just open this thread just to see who is moving where for how much in THIS transfer window.

Its more the consistant anti Liverpool tripe you spout on a daily basis than that actual comment.

Jesus, that's an absurd price for him. €30m should be his value, max!

Porto racking up the profits again if this goes through. They must be rolling in it.

    Fletcher completes move to Sunderland.

Excellent signing. Glad it's finally done.
That's not bad, hope Sunderland don't get him then. Even worse that Newcastle let him go as a kid.

He'd be such a next level signing for us, things seem to be looking extremely good. Some evidence:

Adam Johnson's nephew at the Stadium of Light with this jersey on:

Text message from brother of Dale Roberts (young goalkeeper who took his own life a couple of years ago, Sunderland fan and was at Boro's academy with Johnson and they were very good friends) which he says is real. He's also followed by Johnson so it looks to be spot on:

ESPN saying Norwich have signed Tettey from French club Rennes on a two-year deal. Interested to see how gets on with them, but I wonder will this affect M'Vila moving on in anyway.

Very nice signing for Norwich. My MotM when Norway played England.

Huddlestone's loan move to Stoke has broken down.

Van Der Vaarts' move to Hamburg has also collapsed.
