So looks like the ennis rd is coming out top trumps this week with the dock rd the next best but the Dublin rd followed chawkes antics.

Station (Campus or Great Gas?) on the right hand side of the road as you drive from NCW to Limerick (Probably about 4 or 5 miles outside NCW) was 160.8 for unleaded tonight.

I THINK that station outside NCW is Applegreen now. It's mostly a hint of a cent cheaper than the Centra in NCW, and both are usually better than the Croagh and Adare stations.

Topaz at the regional 167.9 this morning

There will be a bad crash there yet, a hint of a cent isn't enough for me to risk some of the mad manoeuvres I've seen going on there!

O'Rourkes Cross (the turn off for bruree between Croom and Charleville) is 159.9

    Watch house cross, Amber
    Petrol 158.9
    Diseal 149.9

    Raheen/Dooradoyle/Dockroad roundup

    Dockroad -
Great Gas is cheapest - 162.9
    Topaz nearest town is 165.9
    Other topaz is 163.9

Topaz near hospital - 170.9 yikes!
    Maxol near hospital - 163.9

I did not catch the price of Texaco Raheen.

And to think I thought it would be closer to December before the 170 mark was hit.

That station could charge anything and someone would pay it. :(
We're still a while away from normal stations charging that I hope.

Gonna burn about €80 between now and Tuesday - still works out better overall than public transport...

    Chawkes 169.9.

If the talk on the various tv and radio news programmes is right, we could see it go three to five cent over the 170 mark very soon.

What's the excuse this time, solar flares?

High demand, weak Euro and governement taxes.

I had to laugh at the Road Hauliers Assoc, saying that they may stop filling up here unless the governement reduce the tax or come to some arrangement with refunds, afaik, fuel in more expensive in the UK and France, that would probably rule out their easiest market for fueling up before hitting the ferry.

Even if the Govt did that which I doubt - what is to stop the petrol stations adding it again?

The main reason petrol is at the price it's at is because of tax and the last budgets extra vat hike. Petrol stations generally get a small percentage per litre bar of course those who are always a couple of cents higher like topaz in raheen.

Today, Topaz by the hospital 170.9 for petrol and the maxol was 166.9

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,810 ✭✭✭phill106

I filled up both our cars in amber by watchhouse cross, 159.9 on friday and saturday.
Seems to be about 5 cent cheaper then cheapest around town for petrol.

Holy crap - 159.9 for Diesel! Passed Chawkes this morning and nearly crashed, when did it creep up to that price?
