oh so you HAVE to use the red and then the grey, you cant just use the grey?

Depends whats written on the can. Sometimes the colour is purely to do with its relation ship to the top coat, ie Black Top Coat = Grey Primer, White Top Coat = White primer.

What type of wheels are they? Kinda look like Rota Grids / TE37. I love Jap wheels.

those are rota grid-V 15x7 silver with polished lip.

i wanted to get 15x8, but it looks like more hassle then fun... they still look very nice in person, even better then i expected.

good thing is i know for sure a man in a van is somewhere in co. cork with my tyres! come on!

looked at the tracking of my tyres from germany and it is in cork now!

I must admit that I've seen some pretty bad tracking on tyres before but for your tracking to be all the way into Cork..... thats pretty bad.

Might want to get that looked at....

    ....... I'll get me coat. :)

Was taking it very handy in the car the other day and averaged over 40mpg on a 100km spin with 3 passengers and a full boot!

It was shockingly dull though :D

Still a few more to move: a few more 1.2 16v fire engines, 2.8 straight diesel and that great thumping V8.... I don't think the store will hold any more engines

Its photos like that which should be a "wakeup" moment for anyone regularly paying motor tax in this country. Each metal lump is useless in isolation and of random value but represent totally different tax bills.
You could take a Micra and hook up that V8 (with some magic skills) and all of a sudden the addition of some scrap metal makes the tax owed to society goes up by a factor of what, 10x?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,985 ✭✭✭✭dgt

That V8, unless someone actually shows interest in it, will sadly be sold for scrap if no one buys it. There is no point having an engine around the house like that (believe me, I have tried to talk himself into sticking it into the Land Rover. It'd be better than the feeble 2.25 petrol) unless we have something for it to go into...

Red primer is usually etch primer which "eats" into the metal to give an excellent base for paint and grey is the normal stuff which has to go on over the etch primer.

Just to clarify, red primer is usually red primer!

Etch primer just happens to come in that Upol red coloured tin.

It's all about the top coat, so grey for most colours, white for whites and red for reds.

Anyone know why the brake lights would stay on constantly on a Rover 75 with the key in the ignition?

Also, anyone know how to remove the rear seats?

    :pac:

Knackers are forever calling into where I work looking for pallets. They've often stolen them before. What the hell do they do with them?!
