Soooo.... The sunroof packed up, windows and heater fan. Lovely!

But I is in Galway city, parked up in Dyke street car park if the locals want to see the 406 :p

Now out I goes.... The night is young :D

Im coming for your wing mirrors boyo !

Also watch where you park as there is a ton of broken glass scattered around that carpark and try and park on the higher part up near the front for your own good.

Was parked there this morning to go pay the tax and used my €4 parking ticket for all of 15 minutes before ehading into work :(

I love that St. Margarets run behind the airport. One nice stretch of clear straight road in the middle of it, got her to 297lb/ft and 197bhp@4950rpm before I had to lift off to remain undangerous (and legal...ish). Shame, was interested to see what it would hit between 6k-7k.

Had a couple of people flash at me on the way home, one when going through the back of Ballymun towards Ikea and then one beeper on the Malahide Rd. Have no idea why though, no sign of any Gards after them or anything. Thought there might have been something up with the outside of the car so even pulled in and got out to have a look. Couldn't find anything out of the ordinary at all...

Was a lovely evening out though, Dublin Bay looked stunning from the top of Howth head.

Yeah, first thing I thought of after there were no Garda cars within 30 secs of it happening both times.

Pulled in to the UCI/Odeon car park in Coolock and left the engine running/lights on when I got out to check. Couldn't see anything at all.

If the weathers nice tomorrow, I'm gonna bring that Rover out to the N32 really early and give it a good blast

The noise of it is amazing!

Actually, I haven't insured anything I've gotten so far :o

I'm living on €70 a week after paying rent to my folks. I'm slowly saving though :)

I'm not insured on it. I'm just gonna rip up the N32 early in the morning and hope nothings around. I'm only 2 minutes away anyway.

And as much as I'd loved it as a daily driver, I just couldn't.

Madness, driving without insurance in one of the few things treated seriously by the courts, and consistently so.

Not to be all high horse on you but that is fair risky...

*Might be worth it for a Ferrari but for a Rover?

Definitely not worth it for any car..

He's right, driving without insurance is a big no-no. I'm 19 and even I know that. Jokes about murder and rape are not funny either, can't imagine they'd be welcomed around here somehow.

Murder and rape, now that you mention it, neither are treated consistently by the legal system here, unfortunately. That wouldn't encourage me to commit either offence personally.

on the occasions i've been pulled in or at a checkpoint, even with a fully legit window of discs i always panic a little inside. i'd freak altogether if i was stopped with no insurance.

it'd make it much harder to drive legitimately in the future as regards driving bans/ buying a policy with a conviction etc.

You'd find yourself in court and be banned from driving at a minimum me thinks.

Given that you are buying and selling cars to beat the band at the minute, bringing attention like that to yourself is silly.

All you need to do is explain to the copper that stops you why you have the car, how long you have it etc etc, and before you know it you'll have Mr Revenue knocking on your door.

Which wouldn't be good at all :( Amazingly, I've had no run-ins with the law despite living here all my life. I hope to keep it that way.
