That is pretty damn sweet. A bit of a rip off of the R.A.T thou

I was thinking of getting the Razer Taipan but after seeing the ouroboros, im not sure now

Complete rip-off of the RAT9, but a very nice looking mouse none-the-less.

Having said that, the RAT9 looked very nice, and I got rid of it after a few hours. :P

    I also hated the R.A.T

The only problem with OCZ SSDs (and their DDR3 RAM) is the high failure rate. Once you get past that, the SSDs are very good for their price. Their RAM was insane for overclocking as well.

Hmm. its ambidextrous so I'd be interested, does not look like a comfortable mouse to hold for long periods.

Looks like razer have run out of snake/reptile related names, Ouroboros..ffs..

for the name alone, I could never buy it. how do you pronounce that when someone asks you what it is?

It's back for a 6ep run later in the year on Dave!

OMG that look like one of the Star Trek Movies where Shatner and the guys got really old!

If it's half as good as the original stuff it will be worth watching... actually even 10% as good.

Are AMD releasing some new APUs very quietly? I haven't heard anything about their new Piledriver/Trinity desktop APUs which were supposedly having socket FM2, although as far as I know it had a date of Q4.
On the bargain alerts forum, I see an ALDI PC listed as having a A8-5500 which according to Wikipedia, is a new unreleased line? It's down on CPU world as July.

Given that the Trinity APUs in laptops released two months ago or so showed potential in power consumption and graphics, I would be interested to see what this offers budget users.

Meh..not a bad show back in the day-more a league of gentlemen fan myself.

Anyone here got a SteelSeries mouse? Thinking of a Sensei RAW with the rubber coating. How are they weightwise, say compared to a Deathadder?

Found some results at Tom's Hardware. Actually not bad. Looks like the quad cores (dual modules?) A8 and A10 Trinity APUs are quite good at competing with the i3-2100.

The bonus of reasonable graphics gives it a considerable edge.

Now what will pricing and power consumption be?

was actually looking at that in their magazine there yesterday...fairly reasonable price on the tower of around 430 euro i think it was considering its a mediocre games pc.
anyone wanna suggest a better build for much cheaper?

No one would be able to build an intel machine for less - an in an office environment or something where there will be no games played on it its not a bad machine.

    Item|Price
    BitFenix Merc Alpha|€31.86
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€42.18
    4GB Kingston ValueRAM PC3-10667U CL9|€20.99
    SEAGATE Barracuda Green 1TB 5900.3 SATA II|€75.10
    HIS HD 7750 iCooler GDDR5 1024MB DP/DVI/HDMI|€96.47
    ASRock H61DEL, Sockel 1155, ATX|€56.69
    Intel Core i3-2120 Box, LGA1155|€113.29
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€455.57

Would be a significantly better machine, but, by the time you add windows, a wireless card and a card reader it would be around €525.

    Don't forget the USB 3.
    Maybe this board the other:
    http://www2.hardwareversand.de/DDR3/50849/MSI+H61MA-E35+(B3)%2C+Intel+H61%2C+mATX%2C+DDR3.article
    http://www2.hardwareversand.de/DDR3/46918/ASRock+H61M+U3S3+(B3)%2C+Sockel+1155%2C+mATX.article

That Intel build will offer better graphics and more than likely a much better PSU.

Interesting APUs though - out perform the i3s with 20FPS in skyrim on medium could be a good build for people looking for sub 500 builds they want to upgrade. Given the right mainboards of course. Can't wait to see them on HWVS.

BTW Whats with the bird - If she plays skyrim I'll change into my LBD.

    Item|Price
AMD A8-3850 APU mit AMD Radeon HD 6550D Grafikeinheit, Sockel FM1, boxed|€95.25
    BitFenix Merc Alpha|€31.86
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€42.18
    4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9|€23.90
    Samsung SH-222BB schwarz|€16.80
    WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 3 6Gb/s|€61.70
    ASRock A75M-HVS, FM1, mATX|€49.71
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€340.39

Hmm interesting build (imo) using Llano - I don't think I'd recommend this to anyone but I might with Trinity. I've included 1866 ram because the apparently the APU needs the bandwidth. Thats a 100w processor as well so I've left a 450w PSU in it. Do you think you could get away with a 350W if you were going to add a separate GPU later? (I thinking the 660ti) The price of that RAM is bugging me too - I think 4GB would be more suitable in this type of system.

I actually think trinity might be a viable sub €400 (inc OS) gaming solution.

EDIT - Altered the build a bit - thats sub €400 even now... going to be October before we see Trinity though :(

^^ That's what I was thinking. Very little information at the moment but if price was along the lines of the board + APU as above, say even the €150-170 mark it could be worthwhile. That's assuming Intel didn't follow up with a price drop.
1600MHz should be fine. You could overclock it anyway. Higher speed RAM gets expensive fast.

Does anyone know if the Corsair 600T is going though a refresh anytime soon? Just 1 USB3 seems a bit low...

Also doe anyone know if you can get the black one with a side intake fan? Like the White but with a mesh window and fan.

    www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-cc600t-sidewm-graphite-series-black-600t-side-panel-with-windowed-and-mesh-inserts

the window can be swapped out for a mesh insert which can hold 4x 120mm fans (or a 200mm I think)

not that you need it. the 600T is like a sieve, and has some of the best air cooling you can get. the front and top 200mm fans push lots of air while being very quiet. youd be hard pressed to find aftermarket fans that do as well with as little noise.

    RPM = 800
    CFM Max = 76
    dBA Max = 24

as far as refresh is concerned, doubtful.
they recently released a new one in 'gun metal' grey colour, and it still has the same USB3 passthrough.

if you're interested in the case, get it. its a beautiful case and still easily my favorite, and I've built in most of the recommended ones. its build quality is second to none, and customer support is excellent. I had to get a new front panel cause the fan controller had died, and they made no fuss about it and sent it out.

the look grows on you too. subtle, but beautiful.

also, it has huge amounts of space behind the back plate to fit your cableing.much more than any other case.

unfortunately, the 600T is difficult to water cool in. at least with high end dual GPUs, and for that reason alone I had to change.

I've never been a fan of the 'aggressive' look of most cases, including my new storm stryker, but its growing on me. not nearly as pretty as the 600T.

if you in any way like white, the white 600T is much prettier. the colour contrast between the black and white is really great. coupled with some blue LEDs its really nice.

    660ti is pretty good!

Oh Tweaktown, always releasing the reviews weeks in advance :D.

If this is backed up by a decent euro price and other reviews I know which card I'll be buying! Shame it only has 2GB of RAM.

I remember my first video card... 4MB quake looked amazing!

Crucial has a new range of SSD's, V4 range. Thinking about a 256GB one of these for the steam folder. What do you think, going for €167 on mindfactory-and the way SSD prices are going in a months time it will probably be <€150..

Bear in mind it's only Sata 2.
