Graeme Bailey just posted this on Junior Hoillet
It seems the German angle could be the big factor for Junior Hoilett - although until he signs you can never rule out a late bid from one of his Premier League suitors. The fact seven clubs have talked to him in recent weeks shows how much potential he has. But the 22-year-old speaks German, and his family are very happy there and that is believed to be a big factor in his thinking.

Not really surprised at Anelka actually, was hoping we'd keep him as I'd rather have him then Kalou.

I can't help feeling Drogba will be out of there before too long.

Possibily, I'd say he'll stay a few months, like Anelka and realise hes made his money and move back to Europe, maybe one last season at OM before retiring.

I wouldnt rule it out, one last season at OM would enforce his already legendary status with the locals.

I'd say if the opportunity came about the big man himself would jump at it, be nice to see him go out on a high too.

They could make him player-manager and save one wage.

Would ya really want Drogba running the club?

Maybe a coaching role would be perfect him. Although I'm not sure if he would stay in football after hes done. It would be a great chance, especially at OM more so then Chelsea to pick up a coaching role as the fans and players would already respect him making the transition easier.

I think Drogba is doing all he can to maximise his incomings in the final years of his playing career to pay for all the work he's doing in the Ivory Coast.

I wonder if he'll go back to Africa to be a politician when he retires.

Think I read somewhere that he gives all his endorsement and sponsor money to his Didier Drogba foundation charity.

He could very easily move to politics and try and keep funding for his charity coming in.

    Ibra to City

    Tevez to AC Milan

Now that would be interesting, just seen it on a few sites, nothing concrete at all, although theres more weight behind the Tevez to AC Milan rumours and people coudl be putting 2 + 2 together and concluding Ibra going the other way is a viable option.

The rest of the league better hope that's not true. Ageuro, Silva and Ibra in the same line up? Forget it. Just give them the league :p

Ya, if it was true it would be a really scary prospect for the rest of the league and Europe.

I'd always love to see how Ibra would do in the EPL but no one outside City would take a chance on him I reckon given his wages, but if there was a swap deal invovled you never know.

I personally think City would rather the money for Tevez not thaat they need it though.

Im not too surprised about Anelka as the only interview i've read from him in a Shanghai magazine had him quoted as saying he doesent feel they really trust him. Personally I think he would have been better off not becoming the player manager and just picking up his big wages as a player but who knows now that Drogba is on board too, if they start tearing up the league im sure his issues will fade away into the background of the success and big wages.

Breaking news apparently. It's a done deal. Ibra and Thiago Silva to PSG apparently confirmed by Milan.

He hasn't scored in over ten games I think. The club sounds like a real cowboy affair, corruption at every level.

    Source? Link?

Won't believe it until I see it. Absolute madness!

It was on Sky Sports news. They are fairly reputable. About ten minutes ago although it's getting buried by the Terry stuff and Newco Rangers being in the third division after the vote.

Apparently Milan have agreed a fee and it's down to personal terms with the players. It could still collapse as I could imagine Ibra's demands to be huge.

Rich as PSG are, they won't want to be seen to be mugs.

I don't trust transfers until they hold up the jersey for the photo op :p

Everything prior to that is "apparently" in my eyes.

Any idea on the total fee?

Has to be north of €70 Million.

If they bring in Ibra and T.Silva they'll certainly do their chances no harm.

Fancy throwing money on a Chelsea/Real/PSG/Juventus/Dortmund all to win their leagues, bet.

I wouldn't be so sure, I'd rather lay them at the ridiculous price they will be, they have so many new players/egos to bed in and mould a team out of it may not be a procession. Could even back them at a better price after a few weeks possibly :)

Id agree with this if there was any substantial competition in France. There isn't.

    Don't forget Celtic!

A Super League seems inevitable now. The only teams that can afford to pay full whack - Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid - can't turn a profit.

    Forgot about Celtic actually.

Kind of dodgy with who to throw into to cover my EPL side, heart says Chelsea, head says City or Utd.

There is little to no point including Celtic in a league accumulator given their odds.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Betting on Motherwell possibly without Celtic is something I am interested in, for another thread though :)

Seems like Borini to Liverpool is more or less done, I really like that signing.

Much too early in the window but United look in the best shape at the moment.
