Sure go have a look at Mosney (what use to be).

Mosney was used for asylum seekers because it wasn't fit to accommodate holiday makers any more.
Refugees spend up to 5 years in Mosney before a decision is made. Entire families share two bedrooms and some families share a toilet with others.

This video shows how Mosney is now. Would you leave your country to live there? What sort of life did they have before if they chose this?

The bogus Russian asylum seeker was reported by incensed Eastern Europeans to the local Garda immigration officer. He replied there was nothing he could do as he had already been granted asylum and got an Irish passport.

see thats what is odd, russian asylum seeker, how he managed that is anyones guess

do i care? no because they sure as hell don't care about you.

asylum seeking should be phased out. sort the problem at the source.
though i feel no matter if we threw all the money in the world at these countries walls, it still wouldn't stick.

its a hard argument to win.

If you produce stats to show the non irish were being discriminated against and have a higher unemployment rate then they are sponging off the state.

If the non nationals were to have an unemployment rate, maybe as they have skills that are needed or are trained and experienced and doing good work in "menial" jobs in hospitality/ services that the irish wouldn't do 5 years ago - then they are "taking our jobs"

Either way, its the foreigners that are causing all the problems obviously!

what's the significance of this statistic?
    Total Polish 122585 increase 93.7% from 2006 .

Are there stats for migration into dublin from people born outside dublin in the first decade of the century?

you might as well prosecute Canada and Australia along with our own government if they ever wake up. clamping down on mass immigration and illegal immigrants/asylum seekers is not racism, its a law. can you understand that part at all?

because it doesn't fall under your warped definition of 'racism'.

we're discussing the immigration system here and its abuse, illegals that shouldn't be here etc etc. there is a law for that you know? or is that a 'racist' law in your book?

get your story straight, you spout extremist bullsh!t and then hide behind some vague problem as your excuse.

Have you got a job perchance?

it's always the same, these failures blaming a bogey man group for the ills of society. Pathetic.

They talk funny, have strange customs and tend to hang around only with other culchies.

WHY ISN'T SOMEONE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM!?!?!

are you struggling to keep up? no one ever 'took my job'. I don't care if people from outside Dublin come to Dublin to work, the point is, it's about as relevant as polish people migrating to work within the EU.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,582 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

I think the Polish figure is up due to wives and children joining the husbands who left to work a few years back.

We've got one of the highest asylum rejection rates, problem is it's painfully slow.

Agreed. Those people are also just as likely to work or seek education for work.

Any fool could see it also co-incides witht poland joining the EU in 2004, explaining the increase.
