What do you mean exactly? I have never heard anything negative about him personality wise or anything like that?

It's nothing to do with his personality.

    He is almost 30.
    He is injury prone.
    He would want big wages.
    He's pretty slow.
He's not exactly the most athletic man in the world (often cannot complete a full game).

I'd rather see El Shaarwary, Pato and Ibra play infront of Boateng, Nocerino and Montolivo to he honest.

Or play Montolivo as a trequartista infront of Nocerino, Boateng and Traoré.

If Milan were to sign a new trewuartista I'd rather a younger player with a bit of pace, hell, if they'd just sign a fecking wide player I'd be happy.

vdV would be an expensive luxury item and to be honest, we don't need one of those, we already have Robinho...

You're forgetting about Cassano as well, I think he's a superb number 10.

Cassano is a superb #10 but Allegri seems to see him as one of the two front men rather than a trequartista, he often played him and Ibra infront of Seedorf or Boateng.

If Allegri were to play Cassano as a proper #10, which is, in my opinion, his true position, I'd be delighted.

I think himself and Totti are the last true Trequartista's in Italy.

I thought you were talking about Reina for some reason originally :o

VDV, fully agree with the reasoning there!

Sad to see Lavezzi leave Napoli, genuinely annoys me when class players leave Serie A and not being replaced with similar quality. PSG should be entertaining to watch next season though. Haven't seen nearly enough of them over the last season as it involves watching Ligue 1 but at least we'll see them regularly in the CL now.

They may replace him with a quality player yet seeing as they now have 30 million burning a hole in their pocket. Although De Laurentiis has been raving about how good Eduardo Vargas is going to be for the club.

Vargas really did not look up to the standard of Serie A last season, however he is young, undoubtedly talented, and one could blame Mazzari for his way of using him throughout the season. 10 Mins here and there usually when they were chasing a game and the pressure was on. He could have done with a loan move last year much like Insigne had under Zeman where he outright flourished. Should be an interesting season though. Balzaratti should be signing for us as well so hopefully with Fernandes getting more of a look in this season we may start to see less of Aronica which will be a good thing.

It is a shame but tbh I think 5 years at the one club was not a bad haul for a modern footballer of his ability. I must say though his head had been turned since the defeat to Chelsea and there were certainly games where he lacked motivation and was just phoning it in. Couple that with the failure to get Champions League football this year and it was evident that Pocho would move on. Again a shame but thanks for the memories. He has been a joy to watch. Wish him only the best.

I honestly don't think Reina would be a good signing either.

The likes of Emiliano Viviano would be cheaper and is a better keeper anyway.

Milan have signed 14 year old Hachim Mastour from Rggiana for €500k, dubbed the "Moroccan Messi".

He is Italian born to Moroccan parents.

All I know is Milan beat Barca, Real and Inter to sign him.

    Found this video on Youtube

Orange to pingpong ball to a grape, fairly mental ball control that.

Let's hope he can develop into a good player and we see him in the first team in the next 5 years :)

Good move for him, and one that will allow him to continue to develop in a better league.

    Good Memory G.K :)

    It is done.

Signed a 2 year contract with an option for a 3rd year with Feyenoord.
    €300k transfer.
Contract would have run out in December.

Cant say i know anything about him but i dont think he ll make up for the loss of El Ahmadi/Guidetti/Bakkal.

Fairly sure there is some Feyenoord fans in here, what are your impressions on El Ahmadi, who just signed for Villa?

Singh would be a replacement for El Ahmadi, not the other two.

Guidetti is a striker and Bakkal is an CAM who was on loan.

I think that Singh may prove to be a very good signing as he would be more physically imposing in his style of play than El Ahmadi and would be, imho, much better on the ball. He controls the play very very well, and if he adapts to the league quickly, then Feyenoord may have upgraded their DM position with a younger more adapable player.

I think El Ahmadi is a good buy for Villa, but I think that Feyenoord may have come out best in the deal by getting Singh as his replacement.

Douglas would be a brilliant signing for Newcastle (or anyone else for that matter) if that does happen.

He is on about €9m per year before tax with Inter so I'd imagine he'll be getting a decent amount there too. I think Inter are doing well out of it, getting rid of an old player, who has been under performing for the past 2 years and is on high wages.

    Totally agree with this.

Thanks for the info on Singh.

Btw, never for a moment i thought he would make up for all 3 of them.
More concerned about what Feyenoord lost in total with those 3 and what they got back so far.
At the other hand, last year they lost Castaignos/Wijnaldum/Fer but improved 8 positions in the league.

Feyenoord has done pretty good business again this year under the circumstances, no money to spend.
But it has been mostly midfielders they got in, Vormer, Goossens (both on a free) and now Singh.
Ah well.. last few weeks showed what can happening if you play 6 midfielders and no forwards :D

Wijnaldum for only €5m was one of the transfers that had me scratching my head last summer. Was stunned that no club from outside of Holland did not try to come in and gassump that deal with a higher bid.

I don't think you will be disappointed with Singh though. He is good enough to excel in the Eredivisie, and has enough potential that Feyenoord could make a massive profit on the €300k he cost. The 2012/2103 Tippeligaen season started in March so Singh is already match fit and will just need to be kept ticking over during the summer for him to start the season a little bit ahead of a lot of the squad in terms of fitness. The one concern I would have is that he is used to the league season ending in early November and as such his body/mind will be used to being able to rest between mid November and March so playing through that period may present a mental challenge.

Apparently Lucio is on the verge of signing for Juve. Would be pretty funny if he turned into Pirlo mark II and had an incredible season for them.

Yeah it's a bit of a weird one but Gazzetta say he has his medical tomorrow.

That move collapsed. I'd say when Juve made their interest know he lost interest in Fenerbache

Many Italian journos are saying he will have medical today. The day his contract was terminated, he was linked with Juve.

He was average for Inter bar the treble season, I'm not sure how good signing this will be as he was on high wages at Inter (So surely he will command something near that?). Looked like player on decline.

If he does a Pirlo, then will be great signing as Lucio is everything Pirlo was for Milan, looked like player on decline, few average seasons, high wages and all.

Juve are going to have a massive squad next season. Still need a world class striker imo to have anything like a realistic shot at the CL

About to begin its second decade without Champions League trophy, Real Madrid is working to alter the face of its club to end the drought. Manager Jose Mourinho has targeted a summer makeover around a central midfielder, a right back and a winger.
Negotiations have been opened with Tottenham Hotspur over the transfer of Luka Modric. Particularly admired by Madrid president Florentino Perez, the Croatia international sought a move away from White Hart Lane 12 months ago without success. Things have changed since, as Tottenham is now prepared to discuss terms for the versatile midfielder, who is contracted to them until 2016.
Daniel Levy, Tottenham's chairman and a famously aggressive negotiator of transfers and salaries, has asked for Nuri Sahin and Ricardo Carvalho, in addition to a large cash fee. Sahin, a Turkish international who struggled to adapt his passing game to Madrid's transition-focused tactics in his first season at the Bernabeu, made just four Liga appearances but said he would resist a move to the Premier League.
Carvalho has a season left on his Madrid contract and has been waiting to hear Tottenham's proposed personal terms. Carvalho's struggles with a back problem last season forced Mourinho to employ Alvaro Arbeloa on the right side of his defense for the majority of Madrid's Liga-winning campaign. The area was frequently identified by opponents as the team's clearest weak point, prompting the search for an alternative option.
Mourinho's preference is for an assertive, technically capable right back with sufficient height to compensate for the use of either Fabio Coentrao or Marcelo in the other full back position. Real made a preliminary approach for Branislav Ivanovic but was rejected by Chelsea. The club scouted young Brazilian international Mario Fernandes, but he was ultimately allowed to move from Gremio to CSKA Moscow for €15 million because of concerns over his mental attitude.
Though Madrid had informal discussions with Sergio Aguero about a return to the Spanish capital from Manchester City, and with Gareth Bale over a switch from Tottenham, both moves were called off. The Premiership's champions refused to consider Aguero's departure though the Argentine and his family have yet to settle into a UK home. Madrid's discussions with Bale were partly motivated by complicating Barcelona's approach for the Wales international, who last week agreed a one-year contract extension with his current club.
Mourinho would like to acquire a backup for Angel Di Maria, a player who specializes in breaking down tightly packed defenses with his dribbling ability. Ideally, room will be made on the roster by the sale of Kaka, who has held discussions with Sao Paulo about a return to Brazilian league football after three injury-plagued years at Madrid.
While Madrid examined the possibility of recruiting Eden Hazard for the position before his €40m transfer to Chelsea, they concluded that the young Belgian would not adapt well to being a squad player rather than an automatic starter. And interest in Lucas Moura was calmed by the €50m fee Sao Paulo are demanding for the 19-year-old Brazil international.
Mourinho's transformation of Madrid continues. His mission is to return the club to the summit of European football.
