Massive fail for arguing with the mod.

How exactly is physical appearance related to Health and Fitness threads?
She obviously didn't do it for looks. Seriosuly, your point was retarded, it was still retarded when you copy and pasted it.

    Haters gonna hate.
I think she looks great and I find it very motivating.

Now i feel guilty about all the crap food ive been eating lately.

I have a much higher opinion of her now.

I think we've heard much less about her since she started bodybuiling but none the less she's stuck with it and clearly worked hard. The tan is WAY overdone but apart from that I think she looks good and fair play to her.

As g'em mentioned, there's alot of celeb's who get attention for all the wrong reasons and Jodie Marsh would have been ranked highly on that list in the past, but now, she's actually getting attention for achievement.

I noticed while flicking through Sky last night that she now has a show where she trains to be a tattoo artist. Anyone know if she had given up on the bb?

And a numpty question too, because I know nowt about it. What extremes would she have needed to go to during her 50 day cutting phase to get that lean?

I was thinking the tan was ridiculous but maybe she needed it that dark as she wanted to cover the tattoos ?

Not sure about the 50 days.

I remember seeing something a year or more ago that mentioned she was into bodybuilding.

Somebody on here previously posted a youtube video showing a guy undergo six (?) months training to be a bodybuilder. Transformation was remarkable and on the day he looked the part but the day after the show his body fat had gone back up from low single numbers to 10/12 - was interesting to see how they "peak" on the day

It went up a few % in one day ??

She looked ok. Not blown away

Will be interesting to see if she keeps it up and puts on some more mass and continues competing. I assume she will.

    Her posing routine

Interview. Perhaps the people saying she is disgusting may see how much "softer" and different she looks only two days after the comp without the tan.

Yeah looks like to cover the tattoos as other girls in the comp were much lighter.

Would these folks be tested in every competition?

Not to drag up the old chestnut of are all natural competitors natural etc. but my view on this would be:

That she is natural and also she is far more likely to be aware of the probability of her being tested first as a result of her celebrity status and the resultant media backlash should she fail a test.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/filmmaker-stuart-macdonald-interview.htm

This was the guy I was trying to think of

    He says

The frustration and emotional parts were the worst. There I was alone. No one could deal with it nor did they want to be filmed dealing with me getting upset. I was hungry all the time the last 2 months. Brutally hungry at times. That caused me to want to be alone so I wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings.

This type of conditioning is extreme. Bodybuilders look better, physically, than Olympic athletes. But that's where it stops. Bodybuilders at the peak of perfection feel like crap and are at their weakest. Olympians for the most part don't have 6 packs and can kick anybodies butt anytime anywhere. I'd rather be an Olympian if you ask me.

    That didn't happen.
Take an example, a 200lb guy at 5%, thats 10lbs of fat, to increase to only 8%, that's c.6lbs of fat more. They simply don't eat enough to put this on that quick, nor so they metabolism muscle to put it on.

However, I've no doubt that they believe they have gone up 3%, and when caliper tested thats what the results say. But all the things they've done, (de-hydration for example), to get thir skin tight, and muscle bulging are just giving false readings imo.

Yeah you are right - the one day thing was me overexagerrating what I remembered - in the video he loses a lot of the definition from the show in about 10 days

That's what happens, the definition falls away. Everything comes back and the caliper reading jumps up. if every one tels you your BF% has gone way up or way down, ou'll belive them

Which should come back a lot faster than any fat. So in reality their BF% is more likely to be decreasing after a competition rather than increasing -since the kg of fat on their body should be about the same while the overall weight increases. If they think it has gone up it is just showing up the flaws in measurement methods.

If jodie got her implants removed her BF% instantly goes up. That "this morning" invterview was worth a watch, she looked much better in it than in the other pics.

I guess its part of her job to look a little different and generally grab attention, so I can see why she did this.

She is also a vegetarian as well, so if its all natural then its very impressive indeed.

She said something about taking 7 shakes a day. She is sponsored I believe by one of the brands

Personally, I think fair play to her. It's not my cup of tea but if it's what she wants to do then all the best to her.

She trained hard..and dieted hard..probably harder than any of us will ever commit to doing, so I really have a sense of respect for what she did.

I don't think it's disgusting in any way, shape or form like previous people have said, personally I don't like it myself but I don't think it's 'disgusting' ...I'm more of the opinion different strokes for different folks.

So Jodie Marsh has won an INBF title. Even more respect to her now, it wasn't just a once off.

She has been in the news a lot recently, she has another show coming out apparently. I think it's called Brawn in the USA. Fair play to her!

    Fair play to her.

She's looking in better condition this contest. I believe she changed coaches as well.

It's a 24/7 thing though. It's not just a 'job'. You can't switch it on and off, you're eating, training, sleeping as a bodybuilder for months on end before a show. It's lonely, isolating and mentally punishing. Granted I don't have any, but from seeing both done as an outsider raising kids is a walk in the park compared to what she's done!
