8er is coming home on the weekend hopefully.

Can't decide whether to keep the M5 or the 850 ?!?

Don't have room (winter storage) or time for both.

    M5.

8 series is cool and all, but an E39 M5... Just yum.

To be fair you see lots more 5's than 8's, and the 8 is a CSI too. Keep the 8, you can get an M5 again. ;)

This, or if you want I will "store" either of them for you all winter. I'm even so nice that I will take them out for a drive every few days to keep the battery charged :D

Stop trying to pick a fight with yourself. You know you want to keep the 8er.

This is it. You can get a good M5 again here or across the pond in the future if you want it. I'm not sure you'll find as nice a 8-Series as the one you have.

    Keep the 8er!

I'm voting for the 8 here too.

Also I should have added that I'm gonna miss superstoner90 around here. He was a good lad and maybe he asked the occasional obvious question but everyone does that at some stage. Best of Luck to him anyway.

850 for me too. Just in a different class and when do you ever see one?

8 Series for me too, absolutely love em. Hope to eventually own one.

Thanks for that. That's what I am thinking. Although the M5 is a very nice example, there's loads of them about in relative terms.

The 8 isn't a csi (That's Matt Simmis.... where's he gone?) - just an M70, one of the first 5 litres. But it's as sweet as a nut.

There is some interest in the M5 (which I will sell easier anyway) and I haven't even advertised it yet.

8 it is to keep so :)

provided its not broken the 1.25 is a great engine. Plenty of poke in it. Never heard of it being hard on juice at all.

My mam use to have one, apart from her current Mazda 6, that was probably her favourite car.

It had sorry end when a mechanic destroyed one of the cylinders though, she was properly devastated.

Yup 3 months is the winner.

Excuse my ignorance, but does the fine for no tax depend on how much tax you should be paying?
If tax is a grand a year surely it may be worthwhile chancing your arm for a few months.

Well theres only 40k miles on it, drove it yesterday and it seems fine, and yeah its a pokey enough little thing! Smooth gear changes too!

Okay thanks, why was there a mechanic near one of the cylinders in the first place? :L

Very messy story and it was a good few years ago now so I can't remember everything.
She was having the head gasket replaces, he did something wrong, AFAIK something fell into the cylinder and he left it there.

Now, picture the family 40k off the ferry into France and the engine going BOOM! Then nothing, just rolling to a stop on the motor way. Poor car...
