Lavezzi is the best of Napoli's 3, whoever gets him will be very lucky. Cavanni is special too, same for Hamsik

Milan have already signed Ricardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traoré, expect a very, very active summer for Milan.

Zambrotta, Inzaghi, Nesta, Yepes, Seedorf, van Bommel, Aqualani, Flamini, Gattuso and I think one more player, who I can't remember, all leaving next month.

Expect a lot of signings in midfield and defence.

Traore is a very good signing, been one of the best midfielders in France this season. Just him playing at a smaller club and other big names like Sissoko, M'Vila and Belhanda get most of the headlines in the same position he plays means not many know much about him if anything at all.

Looking forward to seeing Montolivo at Milan.

From what I seen of him thats it really, barges past players and a big shot - no real dribbling.

Good thing is he does pass the ball, so good times for Torres!?

That's the impression I get. I think he lacks a bit of technique and finesse for the top level.

But he could excel in the Premier League.

Hulk is without question the most selfish player ive ever seen play football. I couldn't believe how bad it was in the Europa League final last year. He's a handy player and difficult to play against, but very greedy. An interesting signing for Chelsea.

Take it he will be slotting into van Bommel's role then?
I honestly know next to nothing about the lad, what type of player is he?

    A midfield of

    Nocerino Traore Montolivo

    Boateng

Would be my bet for next season?

    Nonsense

    2010 - 11 23 goals, 13 assists
    2011 - 12 16 goals 10 assists

41 assists in 4 seasons - not bad for a striker! and 52 goals!

The standard outside the top 4 in Portugal is absolutely abysmal to be fair.

yep, I think he would be a risk alright and we dont have a great record with this type of signing, especially the big star striker type of signing!

People often overlook him, but Lavezzi is the key to Napoli, and unfortunately it looks like he's leaving. I think all the indications are that he'll join Inter, which would actually piss me off.

Aside from the fact they are a fairly bitter rival, I don't think it's that much of a step up, considering their final league positions over the last couple of years.

Of the Villareal players, I think Borja Valero would be the pick of the bunch. Rossi is a great player, but his current injury problems would put me off him.

He plays for a team that have only lost 1 game in the last 2 seasons, of course his stats are going to be good. If you actually watched him play instead of wikipedia-ing him you'd see he's incredibly selfish. Not knocking his talent, just stating a fact.

I'd also hazard a guess that a quarter of his goals in the last 2 years have been penalties, there or thereabouts, so he would surely be Chelsea's new spot kick taker.

I imagine that'll be the case alright. He's a defensive midfielder, a destroyer who'll basically be Van Bommel's direct replacement. While he's had a very good season for the most part, he's a bit of a late developer as I've said in the LFC thread a couple of months back when I proposed him as a potential player we should look at. This season has been his most note worthy. No guarantees he'll be great or anything, but I do think he'll be a good addition to the squad at the very least.

Well if Chelsea drop Sturridge and play Hulk then the selfish levels will only improve cause I've never seen anyone as greedy as Sturridge tbf!!

I think he's crocked for the summer. Not really a top end of the Premier player in my opinion either.

Agreed. A little bit short of what it takes IMO

He's not an out and out finisher, and needs a hell of a lot of chances before seemingly taking one. Maybe it'll click for him at Spurs (or anywhere else for that matter), Marseille have been dreadful for awhile now. Saha was a far more better striker at the same age, both of them share one similar trait. Very injury prone.

Nicolás Lodeiro of Ajax linked with Liverpool

Why have Marseille been so poor?

Source? Was excellent in Copa America and we were linked to him soon after that from what I remember.

Multiple factors. Lot of unrest at the club. Selling their players summer upon summer, remember Marseille used to be like Lyon when it came to selling their players. Very stubborn and hard to deal with, but they are in some financial difficulties these days afaik. They'll now be without Champions League football too. Also support for Deschamps is dwindling, lot of people are losing patience with his tactics which many consider over cautious plus some really average to poor buys haven't helped.

Could be a clearout there in the summer. The likes of Remy, Ayew brothers, Mandanda and M'Bia could all be on their way out. Valbuena I remember reading somewhere signed a new contract recently but besides him, a good few players have not.

As a Liverpool I'll say "Let him off"!

Hopefully he has a few drinks with Cavani over the summer too while he's at it! :p
