A censor being censored is not ironic, but one appealing to freedom of speach most definitely is.

I don't know if this person is a theist or an atheist, but I think it demonstrates capably the hazards of poor thinking. Or not thinking. He only has 4 videos up at the time of posting this, and they are all up to the same standard of non-excellence.

Your letter surprises me. A neighbour called at your request and stated that your daughter was pregnant. I was shocked and told her that I did not take in such girls. She conveyed the message to you.

While I'm not supporting it, rejecting someone for "fornicating" is no worse than rejecting someone because of their religious affiliation. It's all done for the "ethos."

One minute they are moaning about abortion, affecting a helpless child, that was given by god. The next minute they want to treat a young mother like a leper just because she is young and unmarried. Where's the comfort, support and love for one of 'god's children' producing more of 'god's children'?

The same shower of cnuts who sent babies off to orphanages and the young mothers to workhouses (ostracised from the family) now wants to fawn over the precious unborn babies in spite of the mother's request! Flip floppin' sh1tebags. :mad:

Would they prefer that she had an abortion? I think not. If this question was put to them their tiny minds would simply seize up.

Emily Logan has recommended an inspection of the school by the Department of Education. A 2007 Whole School Evaluation by the department noted the absence of clarity on a number of school policies. Concern has also been expressed that there appears to be an absence of a Board of Management at the school, or an advisory group to represent parents and staff.

If these things are true, than that's quite telling and they should be rightly tackled. But nope, I expect the school's 'communications manager' will default to we're so oppressed and blame the media/anti-Catholic, rabble rabble. Yawn.

LOUISE Carey is involved in a battle with Education Minister Ruairi Quinn over the lack of a Catholic school place for her young son.

His department has recently given the go-ahead for two new schools in Ashbourne in Co Meath, where the population increased massively during the boom. But both schools -- a Gaelscoil and an Educate Together school -- are multi-denominational and do not have a Catholic ethos.

Ms Carey said she and her partner wanted their son Cillian (4) to go to a Catholic school.

Ms Carey recently helped to organise a meeting of 120 parents in Ashbourne demanding that Mr Quinn's department provide funding for more Catholic school places.

The three Catholic schools in Ashbourne are full for September, as is the new multi-denominational Gaelscoil na Mí set up last year. The planned Educate Together school will have a capacity for 57 junior infants under current plans.

Fine Gael Meath East TD Regina Doherty said yesterday that Mr Quinn had refused to meet a delegation involving her, Labour TD Dominic Hannigan and Fianna Fail senator Thomas Byrne about the crisis.

"I think the minister and the department are incorrect in their view that there is adequate school provision in Ashbourne. I have a list of 27 parents who have no place and who are not on any working list for schools this September -- yet all of our schools are full," she said.

The department denied it was trying to bully parents into choosing a multi-denominational school.

"This is certainly not the case. The parents of Ashbourne now have greater choice than ever before in the range of primary schools available to them for their children," it said.

My reading of that is that all the schools in the town are full for this Sept. and the new ET has not been built yet. When it is ready, a proportion of families will migrate from the three existing RCC schools, leaving space for the devout and aggrieved Ms. Carey. If she can't get her kid into the school with just a baptismal cert, they must be pretty full. In addition to the cert, they may be giving preference to those living closer, already on a waiting list and with siblings already in the school.
The main problem seems to be that the ET school wasn't built sooner.
