Picked up Clocktower for the PS1 in nearly mint condition for €2 yesterday. Quite happy with that because I never got to play it before.

You get a look at or pick up any of his snes games? I asked him on adverts but he didn't really have any of the games I was looking for, just had common ones like mario world, street fighter etc

Common ones. Not a great selection of games. I got the two boxed ones worth getting and no boxed n64 games. Loads of megadrive games not to sure about what's rare with them but I picked up a few of them as well. A few boxes nes games and about 20-30 loose.
If your looking for games it's an okay lot to choose from, if your at colle tiny for a while not much there for the main consoles.

That's what I got yesterday that wasn't Neo Geo. Cannon Fodder was looking for that for while but wanted it in good condition.

    Castlevania on megadrive any good?

You can pure tell Owayn pulled some of those pics from the net,

oh the 70 cent came with them as well and I got a free wheely bag. Girlfriend was delighted with that, the bag as she wanted one for college.

    So win win.

And Wave, those be all my pictures. I was making an effort to get them right, as you can tell from the SNES and sega games. Worn me out and you can tell that from the neo geo games, as i took them after the snes ones.

Thanks Steve Si. Any chance you would be willing to take on a contract for righten my pics?

Called over this morning and picked up SNES/NES/32X consoles and a selection of games for various systems :)
Nice guy and very reasonable with prices, loads of interest in the stuff so can't see it lasting too long.

How much did that haul cost you?
Any chance of breaking it down a little, so mere mortals can gaze in awe of the bargains?
    Well done anyhow, insta-games collection!

I've got an FM Towns on the way from Japan. It comes with a bit of software but is there any must have games for this thing?

It'll probably take a while to arrive so i can grab a few games on eBay and they should be here well before the main event arrives.

Once that arrives you need to take a photo of it covered in copies of Darius Alpha.

Holy mother of God! Nice work SteveSI! Which did you get? An original FM Towns PC?

The Marty and Car Marty are 'ok' but notoriously unreliable apparently.

Games-wise, get yourself Image Fight and Turbo Outrun for starters. Be careful though, games for FM Towns systems are seriously rare, with serious prices to match. :(

Congratulations though on an EPIC purchase. Must surely rank as one of 'the' GET!'s of 2012 I think. Up there with Martina Navratilova's sealed red-box Mario World certainly.

Tell us more about what system you got. Any seller pics? Was shipping horrendous? Is Dale Parish now spurred on to get one? When you get it, can we have a beers at your gaf so I can rob it have a look? :)

Just wait until he finds out he bought 2 of them....

and he'll be even more pissed when he finds out that he secretly ordered 2 x PC-9801s, which he has yet to publicly announce! ;)

A Japanese PC along the lines of the X68000. There's also the FM Towns Marty which was a home console version.

It's just an awesome PC (which later became a console). Hidieously expensive, even more than an X68000 and utterly, stupendously and exospherically rare. Like, we're talking rare than a PC Engine LT here. Even in Japan the FM Towns PC (again, we're not talking about the Marty console here) is ridiculously rare. Console-wise the Marty is rare, but the Car Marty is where it's at for collectors.

Games are not cheap for the FM Towns by any stretch. Prepare to unload IMF bailout levels of €'s just for a Mahjong game. It's worth it though, just check out the incredbile FM Towns port of Turbo OutRun for example.

By purchasing an FM Towns system, SteveSI has opened the doors to an exclusive executive lounge of gaming/computing collectors. The FM Towns systems really are the cream of the crop. It's right up there among the very best and probably the rarest items sought after by collectors.

    Congratulations SteveSI. :)

I didn't think it was that great of a find to be honest. Sure, rare enough but you can get hold of them if you really want to.
I've had a friend over in Japan on the look out for a reasonable priced one for a while now and they came across it last week.

It's the pc version, complete with all the bits and pieces including the monitor.

This version here(generic pic, I'll post up the full specs and pics when it arrives):

    fm+towns.jpg

I wont say how much it cost as Pyongy would collapse on the floor with blood coming from his ears if he knew how cheap I got it for :D

Postage was more or less free as I have a bunch of stuff getting shipped over via freight anyway so just added this to it at no additional cost.

How much do the PC versions go for? I think the Marty is probably worth around €600?
