    Hi All

Can you please PM me your exact locations. This is not a network wide issue and is likely affecting O2 subs on the same sites also.

    regards
    Paul

    PM sent.

    Hi,

I recently moved to Tesco but may move back to Meteor cause the web text is painfully slow - between logging in, waiting for the right page to load etc. it takes about a minute or longer to send a text.

I'm using it, but prefer texting via PC. And I'm about to stop regularly buying Tesco 3G (and thus Cabbage) since I realised that I can't use the free credit to buy data.

Is that true? What sort of nonsense is that?

Didn't know about that. Just got it from http://www.cabbagetexter.com. A little tricky to configure but working now. Cheers!

Unfortunately true. Called their helpline about it last week. Free bonus credit for pay as you go can only be used for texts and national calls

Dont want to give our competitors all the details but we will be reducing the per MB data price dramatically. This will mean that using data outside bundle will no longer be the credit drain it is for a lot of people.

Our bonus credit and capped plans will also be very relevant for data use going forward.

Plan is for the changes to be live from Monday 16th all going to plan..

Is there a call connection fee for prepay calls or how does it work with the charging? I've just joined and the few minutes of calls made seemed to have cost a lot!
Is it that the minutes are charges in full at the beginning? I.e. a 2sec call is charged at 20c and 1min, 1 sec call charged at 40c?

1 minute and per second after that

    Hi Paul,
Is there an issue with bada operating system phones on the tesco network.
Tethering seems to be the first issue,

sorry for the stupid question but my old tesco mobile phone broke and I bought a new one, I thought I'd be able to put my old tesco sim card in the new phone since they're both tesco but it still says SP lock on it, is there any way I can use my old sim or keep my old number, credit balance etc?

No, an unlocked phone with the cirrect settings should work fine. The only data service we dont support is Blackberry as we dont have BIS. Otherwise our data is fully open. We dont block tethering.

    APN is tescomobile.liffeytelecom.com

    Hi there

Drop care a note here. If it is a Tesco Mobile phone with yor old TEsco Mobile SIM it should not be asking for an SP lock.

Paul. Any news on when you'll be updating your range of phones. The one I brought with me to Tesco from my old network's getting a bit knackered and I'd like a new one. I'm not all that enamoured with your current range of phones and they have been hanging around for quite a while. So should I wait for a while and hope that some new handsets become available. Or should I go buy something else?

Not true. The top-of-the-range Galaxy Nexus has been added to the Tesco range since January.

    @Paul

I kept looking at the range from time to time, but as I kept filtering it by feature 'Android' the Nexus never showed up ...

Yes, but from what I can see, most of the phones are unchanged. It's a simple question to which I am getting no answer.

    Hi Cymbaline

Are you looking for a prepay phone? Some of our previous products are still there but recently we have added the following handsets to our range

    Nokia 100
    Samsung E2230
    Samsung C3530
    Samsung C3350
    Nokia 201
LG Optimus L3 (will be on sale this week)
Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Black (Pay Monthly Only)
Nokia Lumia 800 (Pay Monthly Only)

    regards
    Paul

I saw an add that said top up by 20 and get 20 off a new phone, does that mean i can buy 20 credit and get a nokia c101 for 10?

Yes that is the promotion but the price for the Nokia C101 before the promotion is 49.99

Note on http://www.tescomobile.ie/monthly-great-offer.aspx the discount is given without the topup. in store the topup purchase is required.

    regards
    Paul
