Konami's output on the Snes was phenomenal, you're dead right.
So many more Snes games to get!
Castlevania and Contra/Probotector are must haves.

Picked up Pokemon Diamond for the boy, he was a little lukewarm til he started to play it, didn't surface for air for a couple of hours!

    Castlevania, have it!

Only noticed today that I had so many Konami games when I was putting that pop 'n' twinbee up with the rest. Just checked their output on Nintendo hardware since and it's not so good.

Couldn't pass it up for 5 euro, and the disc and manual are in mint condition(case is very good as well but not mint).
Irish seller as well so the shipping was dirt cheap.

Picked both of the Saturn games up from ebay seller "tigon_v_liger" from Mullingar and they were probably the best packed games I've gotten in a long time. Real care put into packing them and even the inside of the game cases was packed with super slim bubble wrap.

    .

I got Guardian Heroes from the same seller. Very good service.

Some of those photos are NSFW Boulder Dash porn, you know that, right Sparks...
I'm thinking you might be in need of an intervention! Some de- programming, redirect your obsession with that game into more positive, socially acceptable pursuits, like whittling or hare coursing.

Wow, the elusive Mario Bros/Duck Hunt Cart....you really should have that VGA Graded :p

Nice finds, I don't have any of the NES Zelda's...must put them on the list

Blimey! That's a lot of pink bubble wrap! don't suppose there are any local retailers flogging the pink bubbles?

If you or anyone finds any let me know too. All I could find was the ebay stuff which is too expensive.

Yes good idea. Alot of the stuff comes in too small a size then the useful sizes come in massive long rolls.

Really want a cd thingy for the megadrive. Would it cause a rip in the fabric of reality if I had a megadrive 2 with the mega cd 1?

I have one coming into me from the UK in the next couple of days.

It's brand new with 3-6 untouched, unopened (afaik) games.

Will post a pic when it arrives.

Just got the haul of my retro career.

The haul that makes me giddy as a retro collector. The one that makes all the effort of searching through ebay and 2nd hand websites worth it.

We're talking more SNES games than you can throw a stick at.
More NES games than you can throw another stick at.

I feel like a child on Christmas. In fact, this could be better than Christmas.

I'll upload pics tomorrow, they won't disappoint.

If you have any doubles on the NES stuff, i'd love to buy some from you. I now own a NES but don't have any games..i'd even love a cheap copy of Mario Brothers 1. Does this mean i'm 1 up on retrogamer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,139 ✭✭✭martineatworld

Unfortunately no NTSC stuff bar one random SNES game.

I've a good few NES doubles so I'll let you know about them when I sort through it all.

Anything extra pop it into the trade thread or don't discuss it on the main forum, don't want to see us shame ourselves squabbling over a copy of Sim City! Otherwise sick the doubles on Adverts

    Shenmue arrived this morning..

So much to play so little time, at this rate Mass Effect 3 will be retro when I get around to it...

Pity there isn't a "Post here everytime you WANT something new", recessionary times means my purchase of Super Probotector will have to wait :(

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,244 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

Why don't you just buy the cheaper and more manly Contra 3?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,750 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

Because, aside from not having an NTSC Super Nintendo, I prefer robots with big guns to stripped to the waist men with big guns...

But then you've always been more secure in your metro-sexuality than most men, or should that be Retr0-sexuality, you with the pink 3DS?? ;)

As anyone that has seen me in one of my pink shirts can attest to, I look damn good in pink.

After all, it's the hanger not the clothes.

Now to work on my Contra cosplay. Lets see, brown pants, check. Bandana, check. Think I have this one sorted.

Sonic Jam is probably the best put together game collections I have ever owned, it's an amazing thing with everything a Sonic fan could have wanted, games, movies, soundtracks, an awesome hub world with plenty of easter eggs.
And all this at a time before nostalgia became the cynical money spinner it had become. Brilliant!

I picked up a few bits in GS in Brig'City.
    Lost Planet 2, I'm Retr0s honour because I know he's a fan ;)
Pipe Mania for the DS, haven't come across it before but it was cheap and I always liked the game on other formats.
    Then 3 for the PS2,
Micro Machines, Ace Combat Squadron Leader and a no name SuperBikes racer but it's developed by Blackbean who make good stuff.
All for €25, not too bad.
