I've ordered three Seiko watches sine November 2011, all three have included duty bill invoice approximately one week after receiving the order.
I've got one in front of me right now,

disbursement out of the scope of eu vat = 10.78
    clearance administration charge vatable 23% = 10.00
    vat at 23% = 2.30
    From creation? I'm genuinely shocked

    yes Creation watches,

    Redsol PTE ltd,
    Kallang,
    Pudding road
    Singapore.

Hopefully, others here can throw their 2 cents with regard to duty, for the original posters benefit.

Sort of a similar request, any idea what's a good price for a 30 year old seiko 6309 original everything but the rubber strap?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,731 ✭✭✭Bullseye1

eBay has a few between $125-$200.

Here's one in Germany M, so no issues with customs etc. 125 quid plus a tenner postage. That's a younger one though. I think I know jack about the Seiko divers.

Here's a minty Seiko Sumo at 325 GBP (and that's just the openers - I feel you could get that down a little bit). http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-seiko-sumo-black-uk-eu-only-extras-674413.html

That is a ton of diver for the money. If I didn't have a marinemaster and a black monster I would be all over that, but I can't see a gap in the watch box for it.

edit :- just this minute went sold pending funds. That was never going to last long.

40 mm dia, handwind, glassback, double barrel mainspring and not too bad looking either ...what more can you ask for for 46 quid shipped?

Stowa Prodriver on rubber for €350.

Worn but not dinged (lug scratches), comes with alternate/spare bezel and if you prefer white hands, a replacement of those too.

    I think that's brilliant value.

Ahhh, come on ...nice bit of thick stainless steel from your local fabricator's cut-off bin, throw him a fiver and he'll bend it for you and the rest is up to your trusted Dremel and a bit of elbow grease ...it'll be fun

The clock has arrived, and it's pretty cool.

I had a bash at making my own stand, but no luck so far :( I've bought a cheap stand for it as a place holder until I've time to start again. I need more powerful tools than I have at the moment...

400 odd squids for an Omega of that quality? Result. Just my humble, but I can soon see the day when these kind of bargains will be few and far between from the good makers.

Lovely watch if I wasn't sitting on a plane headed to America I would buy that. I'm planning on scouting around pawn shops in new York to look for a nice omega.
