Went onto an MP game, waiting in the lobby when I heard the stupid accents and they are talking about the ending and how one of them spoiled it for himself when he saw.... I bate the circle button blue trying to get out of the room which I did so didn't hear anything but my god!

Why would you play the multiplayer right away without finishing the singleplayer?

My saves from ME1+2 are on a computer down in the country, not on my laptop :(

I've been upping my Galactic Readiness meter by using the Datapad app on the iPhone. Its slow but it frees me from playing much multiplayer.

    I'm enjoying the film references in ME3. I've picked up on two so far;
Lethal Weapon 2 and The Hunt for Red October
    .

You can probably find a pretty accurate save file in the below link. I found one that was almost perfect after my hard drive died recently.

Melee classes wrecking mp krogans constantly charging and dying, can't finish a level with akrogan, then the ps3 freezes, had to reboot and it's doing a file check on the system, great. I'm gonna go for 100% readiness before going back to sp. Addictive stuff

The "best" ending requires 4200 points, I never played the MP and ended with 4400 points. You dont need to touch MP for full readiness.

(MP in mass effect just didnt appeal to me)

Krogan Sentinal is awesome! Everything dies.

Depending on your choices and Paragon/Renegade level it can take up to 5000.

Completed the game ages ago but decided to get my readiness up a little through the multiplayer, but I'm addicted to the multiplayer, it really is that good. It won't last too long though, I'd say 30-40 hours top before I get bored but it's very well done.

Question about the multiplayer, I unlocked the geth shotgun (class) and done grenade grenade launcher rubbish but I have feck mods, I saved up to get spectre packs so the question is will I get mods by just getting the recruit packs since I'd get 3-4 packs each game so good chance of getting the shotgun mods

A someone that doesn't use shotguns it seems like shotguns and shotgun mods are horrible common.

It's always that way. I usually use Assault and Sniper rifles, and i've only 1 mod for each of them. I've a ton of pistol and shotgun mods though.

Pull and throw are insta kills for the Riot Shield men. It's very easy and if you are struggling with them, you don't have the right squad composition.

Well thats not helpful since you don't have a choice of squad members on Mars!

True but you do for the rest of the game. And don't you have Liara on mars? She has singularity.

And the only class who wont have a usefull biotic or tech ability for Mars is the soldier......and can't he use adrenaline rush to slow down time to shoot inbetween the gap in the shield?

And you can't hit the target in slow motion, you may have to play on casual mode. If a player can't beat mars he is only going to get murdered later on. With an infiltrator its even easier. Just use the sniper rifle to shoot between the gap.

She does, and she tends to use it at her fookin leisure (honestly even when I order her to!)

I am an infiltrator, not a soldier.

Not a soldier but thanks for the little quip about my gameplay skills after 90 minutes of playtime compared to your how long?!

    Bitchy!

EDIT: I should add after destroying ME2 and Dark/Demons Souls in the last 2 years I don't feel in the slightest the majority of my initial complaints about the poor gameplay have anything to do with my skills. Just the rather primitive mechanics of the cover system in ME3.

I will try this alright. Will probably get to have my second session tomorrow. The game froze my PS3 twice in two hours of play time on Wednesday which isn't a good sign.

Then again, Fallout 3 and NV did it regularly when my PS3 was new so maybe its the load the game puts on the system. I wish there was a manual install - why the f*** wouldn't they give you the option?

Infiltrator is the best attack against shield men. Snipe through their looking hole. When I start an MP game, I'm glad when I see an infiltrator as it means I can leave the riot shield guys to them.

Hey, has your PS3 frozen in single-player too?

Happened to me twice within two hours of loading the game which was strange - had to do forced resets which are bad for the system.

No, thankfully. Ya, I hate having to force the reset. Everytime I have to I think there is a chance it might not come back on!

Tbh Mass Effects "decisions" always felt minimal and quite arbitrary.

And I called out for this.

    Funny.

I think Im close to the point of no return.
The next mission is assaulting the illusive mans base
. My galactic readiness at 75%, fairly sure ive done all the side missons, played a good few games of multiplayer. Sould I keep going or should I try and get my readiness up more.

Ya I'm at same place point of no return. What is your effective military strength?. That was to be over 5000 for perfect ending apparently.

Ive about 4900, might do a few more games of multiplayer and leave it at that. I find matches tend drag out a bit.

Anyone doing any MP this weekend? Dunno how boards.ie organises its live community but wouldn't mind getting some silvers done with capable folks.
