I was the blind eye, assassin sniper Doc referred to and I make absolutely no apologies for it. I'm on other team surrounded by a bunch of complete derps who are running blindly out in the open providing free killstreaks. I'm going to get nowhere doing the same so I balance it by sniping

Sorry Seridisand, you were just the latest to do it so your name was stuck in my head for doing it.(I wouldn't say named and shamed, a few of us just disagree on something here that you happened to do last on me, was just using an example :P ) If you want to join in with us, press on the gamertag of the person online and go to join party. We generally just run with 6 or less people in each party though as ground war is a pain in the arse to get games in. If we're full we'll generally tell people who else is in a party or who else to invite.

About the bold bit, who gave you a torrent of abuse? We really shouldn't be doing that to new people especially since we're a community clan...

Well if you are friends with anyone you can just "Join Party". If anything it is great to talk "SMACK" when playing, perhaps develop a catchphrase when you kill you someone, great fun! I also love to hear those three beautiful words..

People give out about poor tactics, but they are tactics none the less, there is no rule against it and many of those who give out about it are often snuggled up with a Sniper Rifle pointing down the corridor of a Spawn trap. Traps men hoof the ball in up the pitch in every game, its awful the watch but it got them to the finals.

The main argument not to play people is that people find it frustrating. All games have elements of frustration, from chess to cow tipping. But you should always remember that it is a game and its suppose to be fun, if you are holding grudges against people who bested you then really the problem lies within yourself.

Lockie played against us for a spell last night and he was a breath of fresh air compare to the other generic faceless opponents.

Well I wouldn't take that to heart anyway :P Just try to join into a party so we know who ya are. It really does help to have a mic. Just add a few more people and try to get into a party, once we know who you are, you'll be invited a lot more.

Guessing this might be slightly aimed at me from interchange :P I don't normally snipe was just trying it out. Was fun going blow for blow. (I just remembered all the innuendos from last night :P )

It was a bit annoying last night because the double xp was on and if a boardsie killed me on specialist or a streak, I lost the extra xp.

People getting annoyed about losing high killstreaks or some xp...ah I can't find an appropriate smiliey.I don't remember this issue cropping up in mw2 or black ops,anyways the only time I'd feel bad is if I killed someone who was close to their first moab,thats all.

Thanks Podge, it's good crack playing against boards members as long as i am not getting my arse handed to me on a plate. It's the next best thing if there are already 6 boards members on a team with no more room.

Agree that it should not matter who you are getting shot at by whether it is someone from the clan or not. Game is meant to be played as bit of fun not as a ultra competitive fight for killstreaks and moabs. i've been lucky enough to get one moab last week for the first time and i know it's unlikely to ever happen again. it probably highlights the problem of the game being dependent on killstreaks if lads are getting annoyed at being killed just short of a killstreak. You should be happier at going out and winning the game, making a decent contribution in capping flags and perhaps a decent kdr rather than moaning just because you didnt get your highest killstreak or were stopped short of a moab.

It was def a joke anyway, I was mad for 10 seconds at the time but that was the end of it. On the point of joining session, I don't see the problem unless people join just to use annoying tactics. If your killed by another boardsie chances are you would have been killed by a randomer at the same point anyway.

It's perfectly reasonable to get annoyed when killed just short of highest Killstreak. The fact of the matter is that playing in a Boards party you ARE going to win 98% of the time. Because flags are capped and such, we just don't lose when it's a full party.

I've yet to get a MOAB, closest I came was 15 kills by for want of a better term, tactically holding down an area, and haven't tried since because I was bored of it, but if I was killed just short of it by a boardsie I'd be just a bit more pissed than if it was a randomer. I've no issue with people joining sesh, I do it from time to time myself, but I always look at the scoreboard to make sure noone on the BRDS side is on for a MOAB because I know I'm not gonna do well against a party full of boardsies anyway, so why should I ruin someones huge killstreak with what would probably be a lucky or opportunistic kill, or worse, a kill I get because I know that particular boardsies play style and where they will go.

People giving out in general though about people joining against them doesn't ring well with me unless it's someone we know and they are really camping hard by sitting in corners.

IIRC, the reason I was annoyed was that most of the times I was killed, you were in a corner of your spawn - blind eye, assassin, FMG9s and motion sensor. I understand it's a tough place to be on the opposite team to boardies with random players, but you have to understand that from seeing the likes of the Megabitch thread, they are tactics that p1ss off a lot of people - and it's really annoying when its a fellow clan member that's doing it.

In echoing what has been said by others, join parties or send voice/text messages to people asking to party-up or to find out what the story is. But regarding this, had you not seen any of the posts in this thread about how to get playing with clan members? And being of such a high rank in both this and BOps, you must have known that Xbox has chat/party functionality or at least the messaging ability?

I seen the page on adding BRDS members from the friends function on the MP menu and I did add quite a few, never played with teams in COD before, previously a die-hard halo player but mostly team LAN games so there was no need for party chat so I've never used it..

Ah right, I've been in a bad mood anyway on and off XBL for the past week or two due to having to study for upcoming exams and doing the best to avoid it, so the slightest things have been p1ssing me off

Well the more on per night, the handier it will be to have multiple parties going. There's usually at least 2, sometimes 3, parties going so spaces pop up fairly regularly.

best thing to do is if a full party is going, check if others are playing and send out a few invites.Chances are you'll have a full party together in no time.Usually enough for 2 maybe 3 parties on most nights.
Just to let people know my reason starting off talking about people joining parties was to avoid arguments and ill will down the line,cause its something I feel can be easily avoided.
Like yourself Seridsand,used to play alot of halo and was part of a clan years back.Left and stopped playing with the majority of them cause there was constant arguments, people being segregated and treated really badly cause they did something to piss some of the core players off. I know from playing with the majority of lads off boards that's not likely to happen here, as every one I've played with are decent lads and have a bit of common sense.

Threw on MW3 today for a few games,decided to play tdm and got put in a game on outpost against a full clan [IRG].Neithless to say our side lost,but i still fininshed a respectable 3rd.Decided to stay in the lobby for a full game against them(for a challange!:eek:)on seatown.While were waiting i get a message from one of the clan members looking for a clan match.I replied "if ye want",got a reply back saying 6v6 gb rules.So what do ye think lads?

Also more for doc our esteemed leader!Whats the protocol with regards these situations where if a player is playing on their own and they get a message like the one above,do we ignore it or accept the challenge and post here like i have??

The clan themselves aren't too bad,i finished 3rd in the first game and 4th in the second,and i was playing with complete (****e!) randomers.Should be a handy days work for some of our best and also a handy scalp to adorn the [BRDS] HQ:pac:.They are also an Irish clan btw.
